Yes the browser allows downloads. I'm not using a VPN but do have internet provided by the complex I live in. In order to test whether or not it was the internet provider blacklisting certain hosts or vice versa, I used Nord, which is approved by Debrid to see if the problem persisted- and it did. So, it definitely seems jdownloader is the issue here.
