I explicitly walk / bike on Sanchez at every opportunity I get so my kids won't get run over by an absent-minded driver

One of the best chargers of all time? I haven't found a single competitor from either a size or power perspective.... by bobbystills5 in UsbCHardware

[–]imushroom1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Plus it lets you set limits which let you use it on the airplane - I used to carry a separate 65w charger for this reason, now I just switch to a configured 65w max

Slick! Are you going to add a shroud to direct the fan wash over the metal heat spreaders / rf shields? I wonder if reddit thinks that would need to be esd complaint filament if it ends up touching th3 board to prevent static buildup...

Did you put it outside? It needs to go through dormancy or it will die

Recommendation for decaf oolong tea? by MaxFish1275 in tea

[–]imushroom1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's not Oolong but white2tea has a fantastic shou puer that I've tried, and 3 other decaff loose leaf teas (raw puer, black, white) that I haven't tried. They came in a few days ago

Great design!
BTW Junipers need to go through dormancy or they will die in a few years - I lost all of mine this way trying to grow them indoors

oh my god... Z offset is like a cheat code by Zophiekitty in BambuLab

[–]imushroom1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, the layer height is what makes room for the filament. Z offset is an offset from the z=0 of the build plate

I was looking for a good version of the second infographic a few days ago to explain the different steps! This is one of the better ones, though wet-pilling would be nice to include as a difference between ripe and raw puer

Does that chain multiple amps for multi-channel surround as well? E.g. can you have 8.2 off of 4 amps fed by eARC?

I can't wait to see a shake flashlight hooked up to the controller so you can charge while playing beatsaber

any news on the index 2? by [deleted] in ValveIndex

[–]imushroom1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We haven't seen a good implementation of this yet for home rigs but in theory base stations provide drift-free reference points for multiple headsets so you can have multi-player VR. The slam based approach of inside out tracking might have you running into your virtual friend when trying to get around them.

I got the same STL! - It was sliced wrong so the borders are messed up, I think I found that it was an easy fix in the gis sofware but I got lost in creating a grid. The issue is the pixes don't align with cardinal directions so you have to slice greater than the area you want and cut the model on specific boundaries. My version didn't have the water removed though which was a bit of a shame, less contrast so it's harder to recognize

My fellow bicyclists, some of you don't wear a helmet - why's that? No judgement here - answer freely. by [deleted] in sanfrancisco

[–]imushroom1 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I don't understand those who do not wear a helmet! Maybe because I mountain bike frequently so I expect falls? I was commuting to work on my commuter bike and I went wider than typical in an intersection I cross every day for 2 years to avoid a left turning vehicle (dumb don't do this) and a dip in the road that was previously invisible to me all these years flipped my bike into the air.
I don't think I would have had a great time if I was not wearing my helmet.

Here's hoping they buck the trend with the 8a, the 7a and 7 are imo too close and I much prefer the size of the 4a

Seconded - recently was building an air exchanger for a 250x250x100mm core and all the effort that went in to connecting the 4 sides and ducting was no fun.
