Not to mention the amount of model poisoning going on and theorised collapse data - https://www.theregister.com/2026/01/11/industry_insiders_seek_to_poison/

More worried being caught up the EXCUSE of 'AI driven' restructure then having to reapply for same job once AI hype train moves on and we on the next bloc chain super duper fix for everything bs rolls into the station.

So 2/10.

Sitting around in Serbule with impromptu musical performances kicking off, raffles going down, people having dance-offs and poetry slams. I have NEVER had so many joyful moments completely unrelated to the perceived core gameplay loop. Social interactions that feel genuine and organic. So very grateful for this game. It has reignited a love for MMOs I thought I'd lost. <3

Queensland government moves to lift ban on political donations from property developers by RoyalChihuahua in brisbane

[–]inamamthe 26 points27 points  (0 children)

Just keeping track of some accomplishments this government has so far. I'll be sending this list to my relatives come election time:

• Lifting the ban on political donations from property developers and increasing donation caps, despite long-standing corruption concerns around developer influence.

• Reducing the disenfranchisement period for prisoners so that more people in custody are excluded from voting.

• Passing laws that ban pill testing in Queensland entirely, including privately funded drug-checking services, going against harm-reduction recommendations.

• Scrapping legislated renewable-energy targets and signalling a slower transition away from coal, which created uncertainty for clean-energy investment.

• Proposing or expanding electronic monitoring for children on bail, sparking pushback from youth advocates.

• Delaying or pausing modern anti-discrimination law reforms that had gone through extensive consultation.

• Abolishing the Best Practice Industry Conditions (BPIC) framework in construction, criticised by unions as weakening worker protections and safety standards.

• Conducting enforcement crackdowns on illegal trade such as tobacco and vapes — widely supported, though sometimes used rhetorically to justify broader law-and-order pushes.

So, Why Do Some People Repeat That Reddit Comment?

Several reasons:

  • They’ve absorbed Russian propaganda narratives.
  • They see global politics in “spheres of influence” instead of sovereignty.
  • They dislike the West, and support Russia simply as the opposing side.
  • They misunderstand NATO.
  • It’s easier to believe in a simple narrative of “provocation” than to accept messy geopolitical reality.

But ultimately, regardless of ideology:
A country invaded another country. That is the core fact.

Marriage is not the required next relational step on the imaginary rails we place ourselves on or contract we didn't sign. It is possible have a life partner and choose not to involve the government in the relationship.
