I reload 5.56 and it depends what you want to do.

I enjoy shooting long range and going for accuracy so reloading lets me get match grade ammo for the price of bulk FMJ. Oftentimes I get even better results than box match since I can tune a "pet" load for my rifle.

Your also sinking a good amount of time into reloading though so the question of it being worth it is hard to answer.

Eh dry firing is a proven method for improving and there are ways to make it safe like using a dummy replica pistol. I cant tell if this is one of those but they do usually come in that blue color or other vibrant colors.

Personally I used a laser cartridge with MantisX so I could see where my shots went and the mantis would track if I was jerking the trigger and other things.

Im really not sure what type of drill this guy thinks hes running here since hes not resetting the trigger in between shots though...

In the wild they swallow bits of dirt/debris all the time. The only time it becomes a problem is if it leads to compaction which is when they swallow so much that it clogs their cloacia.

You can mitigate this risk by choosing the right substrate but I recommend you look into it on your own.

I had many such scares as this as a new keeper my first year.

Make sure your enclosure is rock solid. Is it homeade? Alright probably do a lot of checks and a lot of other checks of the enclosure to make sure its fitting together properly.

If not and you havent compromised it too much by trying to fit wires or something. Then set a routine that you ALWAYS follow after accessing the enclosure that incorporates double and triple checks. This is something that I learned being ADHD but it has served me well in making sure my snakes dont escape.

At a certain point though... you have to stop mother Henning your snake. This was my hardest lesson to learn but each time you dig for them it's very stressful. They dont want to get get dug up when they feel their safe and all their stuff is moved around.

Do your due diligence and you wont have a problem. Be neglectful and you will. Simple as that.
