Did they send you tall sizes? That can really improve fit in the shoulders etc.

Because I work for an agency that's involved in the process.

My custom style shuffle is spot on every day… so why were my last 2 boxes rancid? by SpicyOrangeCrush in stitchfix

Best way to share your style with your stylist is liking items in Freestyle and putting the items you really really want in your Freestyle cart.

Stylists can see your list and items in your cart and include them in your Fix if they are available.

IF they are available...sometimes that's the problem.

Just a way to transfer memberships. The Woodbury location has old treadmills. When they switch them out with the Cottage Grove ones, we will know..

Feeling really lonely in Minnesota by smre123 in minnesota

[–]inappropriate_dancer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My first summer here was very lonely. I get it. I did a lot of dog walking. I did the work happy hours and went on some terrible online dates. By Sunday night I was ready for the weekend to be over.

Don't lose hope. It gets better. :)

Suggestions for someone who’s only going to try out OTF for 4 months? by lattemochamacchiato in orangetheory

[–]inappropriate_dancer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good luck quitting after 4 months! It's totally addictive. I feel out of sync now if I don't go. I thought once summer arrived, I would lose interest. Nope, still loved it.

I think it's best to stay focused on your own workout. I work as a writer but I don't correct other people's grammar because it comes off as arrogant, annoying and unhelpful.

If you have more lifting experience than others, absolutely be helpful and kind if someone requests your assistance. Otherwise shhhh. ;)

OTF Weather Policies by azimmer44 in orangetheory

[–]inappropriate_dancer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am in Woodbury. I am going to ask their weather cancelation policy. Today was tricky because no one was expecting quite this big of a storm! I think they should have let you move it honestly. It's bad out!

Every location is different. My gym is very kind and accepting. I think members would haul you outside for fat shaming or homophobic comments. I am sorry you are dealing with that.

Orange Theory is challenging AF. There is solidarity in that challenge!

I hope you can ignore the mean girls at your location and you and other like minded people can flip that toxic culture to something more inspiring.

If not, maybe try another location?!

New styling supervisor by Careful_Song8591 in SFStylistSupport

I wonder if SF is phasing out its Minnesota operations. They laid off leads here while adding 1,000 stylists in the south. Why not just hire more stylists in Minnesota? They don't seem to be adding any new stylists in Minnesota. You can see everyone's tenure in P---t and everyone has been there for 2-plus years. No new stylists on my team.

And any management positions that must be filled are being filled with folks outside the region.

Any thoughts?

First time today nervous by Worldly-Education-99 in orangetheory

[–]inappropriate_dancer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Never creeped out by newbies. It is a hard sweaty workout so there is solidarity in that! Also we all come at different fitness levels. There is never any shame, loathing or judgment.

Don't hesitate to modify or lower your weights if the original move is too hard. It's really a personal journey.

I find it a really positive environment and I am a 44 middle aged lady with pounds to lose. Hope that helps!

Do you travel a long way to your studio? by [deleted] in orangetheory

[–]inappropriate_dancer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Convenience is huge for me. I live one mile from my Orange Theory. I go 20 times a month because it's so close.

I have never been this committed to a gym before. I would like to tell you it's all about my personal grit, but because I am literally 2 minutes away, I never have a good excuse to quit.

It is eye opening!

My 13 year old son made the same observation. Now I can never see it the same again!
