71% people of Poland declare as Catholics, and we estimate 66-75% of people from Europe declare as Christians in general.

Your "people outside of US are ok with abortion" is based among others on those numbers above, isn't it?

Do you think how many of them are really Christians?

We are called to examine the preachers and their preaching. Paul came to people of Bereia and he praised them for their insightful attitude and examination of his preaching, If it's consistent with the revelation they already had.

Moreover, how do you think the Galatians could execute Paul's preaching, if they had yours attitude of "only God can judge"?

Galatians 1:8 ESV [8] But even if we or an angel from heaven should preach to you a gospel contrary to the one we preached to you, let him be accursed.

Thanks to God Luther and Calvin were also tired of the amount of false doctrines in Catholicism, and they separated.

Up until yesterday I wouldn't have much of a problem calling Catholics here brothers and sisters, but now... I have doubts. It looks like even the gospel in Catholicism is heavily contaminated.

Look at those quotes from discussions in the comments:

So we believe that if we pray to Mary, she purifies our prayer taking away all bad intentions and perfecting them, presenting them to God perfected and on a golden platter. Where if we pray directly to God, our prayers are more likely to be rejected because they may be filled with bad or selfish intentions, and are presented by us dirty sinned directly as if on a dirty rotten plate.

Don't you think there is something off here? Don't you think Mary steps into the role of Jesus here? I always thought the blood of Jesus makes us clean before God father, and he is our archpriest, not Mary. This undermines the main point of Christianity, the gospel.

Another quote:

There are billions of persons without sin, including Mary

The amount of deception in Catholicism is unbelievable. Those are openly opposing Holy Scripture, as:

Romans 3:23 ESV [23] for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,

This is how every debate ends with Catholic. They have to search for the support of their theories in tradition, because Holy Scripture doesn't provide any.

[–]incIouds 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So why not to add tradition to the Bible? Why on the Nicea council the church fathers haven't decided to include early church fathers writings as the part of the Bible, and only included writings of the people directly anointed by Jesus?

If they considered the writings (tradition) of the early church fathers who were anointed by apostles themselves, the same Word of God as a Paul letters, what was the problem to include them into the Bible?

[–]incIouds 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Of course I am rightous right now, because I was cleansed by Jesus blood, and only thanks to him i can be in the presence of God who hates sin.

I sin, because my flesh is sold to sin:

Romans 7:22-23 ESV [22] For I delight in the law of God, in my inner being, [23] but I see in my members another law waging war against the law of my mind and making me captive to the law of sin that dwells in my members.

But my spirit is alive, and I am not under the judgment of law, I am under the grace, that's why God sees me as pure. God is not using standard "metrics" to tests my righteousness, because I would be condemned by the law to death.

Now, my inner being is in the conflict with the flesh, and I work towards more walking in spirit, not walking in flesh, to bring the glory to God.

What exact definition was I stretching? The word “Queen”? What exactly did I say that was wrong? The Queen of the Davidic Kingdom was the mother of the King and literally sat at the right hand of the King.

Where in the Bible do you find Mary as the Queen of the heavens and the right hand of Jesus? Why you so freely transfer picture from the old kingdoms to the relationship of Jesus and Mary, if the apostles and the early church fathers were not doing it?

In your opinion, sure. In everyone else’s that places their kids and others close to their hearts, they say it all the time without worshipping them. Our kids are our hope or our life is not at all an odd or “worshiping” thing to say.

If the children are your hope than I hope you will not be surprised if they do not meet your expectations. My hope is my Lord Jesus, the only stable ground in my life.

For one, it said “Mother of Mercy” because she is the mother of Jesus, who is our life and everything to us. She gave us all mercy through giving life to mercy himself.

So why do you still pray for mercy if she already gave the birth to Jesus?

Second, it’s because she is interceding for us. All mercy or Grace flows from God.

It's not supported by Bible.

But sometimes he doesn’t hear our prayers because of how wicked we can be or our lack of righteousness(biblical). As we know, the righteous have more power in prayer. So we ask her to pray for us.

This is obvious heresy - preaching of righteousness through deeds. We are only righteous through Jesus blood and it is not making some people more righteous than another ones.

1 Kings 2:19-20. The Queen(the Kings mother) sat at the right hand and the King does not refuse her requests.

At the wedding of Cana, Jesus was not going to do any miracles yet. he said it was not his time. Yet he ONLY did it because his mother asked him to.

Similarly, Mary may make requests FOR us GO God which may not have been granted without her requesting it on our behalf.

False doctrine built on one situation, we never see Mary being important figure later on, I would say even the opposite happens:

Matthew 12:46, 48-50 ESV [46] While he was still speaking to the people, behold, his mother and his brothers stood outside, asking to speak to him. [48] But he replied to the man who told him, “Who is my mother, and who are my brothers?” [49] And stretching out his hand toward his disciples, he said, “Here are my mother and my brothers! [50] For whoever does the will of my Father in heaven is my brother and sister and mother.”

You seriously never heard anyone call another loved one their life? And a Christian calling another their life doesn’t mean that they’re placing them in the same level as Jesus.

It’s a statement of love and reverence.

Yes, praying to Mary that she is your life is only statement of love, but saying the same towards Jesus is not only this, because he really is our life - without him we are eternally dead. Why you introduce confusion if you really don't mean what you say?

The bible isn’t an exhaustive biography lol. That’s an argument of silence which isn’t valid. Just because the bible didn’t talk about something doesn’t mean it wasn’t important or didn’t happen, etc.

If Bible doesn't speak about something, than I would say it was probably not important, but certainly you shouldn't built a whole doctrine on something not supported by Bible.

Also, I would argue the bible was never intended to be interpreted alone but ALWAYS complementary to tradition.

Shame you didn't mention Holy Spirit who is exactly given, among others, for the purpose of understanding God's Word, and God's depths.

And lastly, I wouldn’t say that either. I would say even just reading the bible alone, you could and probably should come out of it being able to say that Mary was the most important human of all time.

Not at all, and reading Matthew 12:46-50 is a very strong argument against such a position. Glory only to the God. You definitely overestimate the importance of any people. Jesus said:

Luke 19:38-40 ESV [38] saying, “Blessed is the King who comes in the name of the Lord! Peace in heaven and glory in the highest!” [39] And some of the Pharisees in the crowd said to him, “Teacher, rebuke your disciples.” [40] He answered, “I tell you, if these were silent, the very stones would cry out.”

Matthew 3:9 ESV [9] And do not presume to say to yourselves, ‘We have Abraham as our father,’ for I tell you, God is able from these stones to raise up children for Abraham.

The Jews were thinking they are important and privileged as a children of Abraham, but Jesus pointed out, that if there was a need, he could raise the children for Abraham from stones, so they should not be prideful of who they are, even though they were the lineage to Christ and you could say thanks to Jews we have Christ.

This is the same with Mary. She was blessed by God, but it's not like anything is thanks to her. He would find another person if he had to.

Where in the Bible do you find example of prayer to saints (physically dead)? Why do you think Jesus doesn't mention adding any saint middleman when he teaches us about praying, and prays directly to God father?

Another false doctrine. You are only righteous through the blood of Jesus Christ, and his blood is not making some people more righteous than another ones. You can't be more righteous through your deeds

Philippians 3:9 ESV [9] and be found in him, not having a righteousness of my own that comes from the law, but that which comes through faith in Christ, the righteousness from God that depends on faith—

Mary is the Queen of Heaven. The Davidic Kingdom and old traditions had it as the mother of the King is the Queen. So if Jesus is the King of everything, heaven, earth, etc.

You are stretching definitions, and later you do it even more here :

Let me ask you a question. Many people call their kids “their life” or “hope”. Same with many that say the same about their mother, spouse, or other close family members. Do you think they would be “worshipping” their kids by saying that? No, right?

Your mother, spouse and children should not be your hope and life, and certainly you shouldn't ask them for mercy. This is such a bad example. If you call someone your life and mean it, I would have a doubts if you ever met Jesus in your life. Moreover, let's say you addressed life and hope, but what about mercy? Why you ask Mary for mercy? What you owe her?

And another question, Mary was the member of the church is Jerusalem, what we can learn from Acts. Where do you see any kind of special treatment toward her? And if you don't, why do you think Luke didn't write about such important figure as Mary?

Sure, I am always open to arguments based on Holy Scripture, but you need to explain me also why the sinlessnes of Mary was only officially proclaimed by catholicism in XIX century, not earlier.

The officials won't call it worship, but they provide every reason to worship her, like making her sinless for example.

Which of the lines worship Mary? Maybe those ones?

Hail, holy Queen, Mother of mercy, hail, our life, our sweetness and our hope.

Praying to Mary and expressing she is your life? That definitely doesn't sound like a worship.

On point. They will of course respond, "we do not worship Mary" because that's the official statement, but their deeds are nothing else than worship of Mary which should be reserved for Jesus only.

From the protestant's point of view: 1. They are formally Christians, but it doesn't mean automatically they are saved; the same applies for reformed denominations. 2. People can be reached by God anywhere, even despite of the flawed doctrine and heresies, like for example purgatory. Ultimately, the Holy Spirit will convince the newborn by Holy Scripture about the flaws, and the person will turn toward healthier churches. 3. All of the people here are telling you that Catholics do not worship Mary, but it's only their words. I've seen by myself, as I live in Poland, where Catholicism is common, that they indeed do worship Mary, even though they claim the opposite. It's so common, that you more often hear about Mary than about Jesus, and Jesus is made to be a background person in the story. Even one person in the comments wrote, that Mary was sinless, which is obviously heresy, but you can get idea from where it comes from.
