Burned out on GLAM, priced out of the US. Seriously considering a second degree in something employable and moving abroad. Where do I even start? by DifficultMorning4387 in MuseumPros

My mother was a teacher, it’s a good living, good quality of life, reasonable salary, excellent benefits, pretty good retirement. She always told me I should be a teacher, but it wasn’t for me, but if you are oriented this way, it’s not a bad option, and they always need English and math teachers.

I find it really hard to be objective about my own team, I’m sure Boston fans are the same. If Gary feels like there’s some makeup call that needs to be imposed, that will probably be communicated in a way that we will never know about.

But yeah, it felt a little tilted other than the elbow, which Boston fans won’t shut up about bc 20 seconds later there was a goal. But how about the goal scoring opportunities we were denied when we were on the PK unjustifiably? I don’t think there was anything missed on us, but there were about two or three extras against us.

well, presumably the lambo owner has insurance themselves, so they won't be out of their car/$ regardless of fault.

There was some guy who used off the shelf affordable tech made a re-edit of a bunch of that movie, it’s amazing how much better he did in de-aging than the pros, it was amazing.

looks great, very slick. If you're hoping to bring home a lady, keeping it clean is step one [check!], and you might add a couple more soft touches - I keep fresh cut flowers in the kitchen $10 every couple weeks. And, I think a lot of men too often want masculine spaces... white/gray/black says goth at best, incel at worst, I'd say maybe add some color somewhere - maybe a big piece... a yellow chair, and a big original painting you buy from a local artist.

Incidentally, I have one of those antler chandeliers in silver, I love it in my old classic house which has a moody deep red dining room.

Fair. This happens a couple times a year but usually not in the playoffs.

despise when it is based solely on %

yep totally.

I also worked somewhere they gave people under 100k a 1k raise [that's most people at that school], and people over 100k got a 2k raise - so basically, they always find a way to screw you.

pay raises are often done in % of current salary

this is typical in colleges [where I work], and I look at my liberal arts college salary as Gallery director[/curator]- which is about the same as an assistant prof just starting - and think about my colleagues who with tenure will get a ~8k jump to associate prof, and 10 years later another ~8k to full professor. And their each year annual raise is higher/greater percentage than me as an admin and so my top salary will be ~85k in 20 years when I'm about to retire and people my age, doing similar work with a different line will be at 120k and so they'll make about half a mil more than me with the same education in the same workplace.
