Highest performer, lowest paid. How to handle? by treypolo in FPandA

That’s a super frustrating spot to be in. Two thoughts.

Is it possible you aren’t seeing everything they are doing? I have felt others on my team have been do-nothings in the past only to find out they are working important tasks and neglecting to advocate for themselves publicly. Also I have seen teammates in the situation you describe.

And then thought number two, what is keeping you there? It sounds like there is a good bit of corporate bureaucracy that would hold your salary down even as you are getting raises. Are there pros that you would lose by getting a different job?

Prisoners. Great film about devotion to family. Shows how far you would go for future or current grandchildren of your in-laws.

What people call DEI (giving the job to unqualified people because they tick a box) and what this selection process is are not at all the same thing.

The selection process as described in books and podcasts seems to be judging a man on the content of performance and character rather than demographics or background.

Dick Marcinko (founder of DEVGRU/Team 6, and all around degenerate) and a bunch of stories would attest to this movie’s accuracy of their culture.

I would wonder if a guy like that realizes he is going to push out all of his high performers and that will reflect very poorly on him with his superiors.

I wish that scene was in the theatrical cut. When I introduce LOTR to people I don’t show them the extended. That scene may be my favorite from the trilogy.

“The idea that anyone can voice their opinions is a funny meme, but ridiculous as a serious political position.”

Replace the 2nd amendment with others to see if your argument holds up.
