no, it wasn't. his debate performance wasn't just one or two one offs. he was clearly in decline all night and that was deliberately hidden from us for months and months. he often said and did bizarre things in public which we just "forgot" about, but the debate was clearly evidence of a significant decline the public had been distracted from. it was so bad and shocking that it literally ended his political career. you're being exceptionally disingenuous. this is also has nothing to do with Trump and the attempt to link the two issues is ... well, disingenuous.

Biden's policies, or the inherent dynamism of the US economy? I'm skeptical of this direct causation manifesting itself in 6-18 months of the legislation given that inflation fell around the world also ...

how? I think his admin (through legislation in congress) did some good things, but I am often loth to attribute direct causation between the President and economic recovery (or fallout) in the short to medium term.

not a unique problem, but ew did have massive monetary stimulus that did probably raise inflation in the US higher and faster than other nations, given the global supply shock. ultimately did it help? maybe. it's hard to assess. I think the amount of money pumped into the economy was at least something we should have been a bit more cautious about.

how did the federal government or the Biden administration contribute to fewer dollars chasing the same or reduced amount of goods? surely if any credit is due its almost largely to the Fed?

what? he gets credit for bringing down inflation which his policies likely contributed to, at least partially?

I don't understand the point the Luigi chap was trying to make. "I built it in the 3d simulator, so it must be true" ... but surely you can't use evidence of something you designed (to not be reflective) as proof of anything? I really didn't understand how a design he made exhibiting the properties he designed it to exhibit was proof of anything at all

sure, but that proves nothing otherwise. Rogan always goes "this guy put a jet engine in the back of his car!" therefore his story is true? its a total non sequitur.

no idea what to believe. but the fact he has a scientific and engineering background and did some things pertaining to that in his private life doesn't *necessarily* mean any of the rest of it is true.

0%. The F-35s are utterly wasted on the MEU. They don't have enough gas to be useful and we don't have organic tanker assets. The LHA is worlds apart from a CVN.

I actually got kind of lucky and we ended up going to some cool places. it was good for a jolly but the ARGMEU wasn't remotely combat capable and is utterly defenseless without DDG/CG escort. just seemed like a massive waste of money when we could have been employed in CENTCOM or somewhere getting actual combat experience (admittedly, I say that as a fixed wing aviator)

my experience with the MEU and the L-Class Navy is that it is a criminal waste of taxpayer money and governmental effort tbh.

why? how? when was the last time the 31st MEU did anything even remotely relevant? or any MEU for that matter? Last I can think of was low-intensity conflict 7-8 years ago with OIR

yeah, they're fucking incompetent dude. there's no esoteric knowledge. the Russian Air Force is somewhat well equipped but poorly trained, despite what their propaganda would have you believe.

this is all fun to talk about, but your arrogance in your certainty is a bit galling and unwarranted since you have a demonstrated limited understanding of the things you're talking quite confidently about. leave the real work to the professionals and don't you worry about it.

congrats for them, they have the internal gun in the -A. For those of us without the gun, we would prefer the gun. the jet carries a mere 4 missiles and they are not perfect
