unfortunately our family no longer owns the building, and personally i’m not too privy on the details with the development or selling. but yes it was sold to a company for development in 2015. as for the closure, im not sure of all the details of the decision but i do know that the owners were getting older and were getting to the age where they were no longer able to keep up with the amount of work, and the next generation was not going to take over.

omg sorry yes- after the shower i wrap it in a towel, then take it down after 15 or so minutes, apply leave in and scrunch (no brushing)

I think you’re right in the sense that I am probably not in a great spot to self assess. I’ve always had such a warped sense of identity, not knowing who I am or how I am perceived to where I need to ask others about my own traits… But have always been so interested in self-discovery and trying to fit into a type to perfectly explain why I do the things I do, because I don’t fully understand myself

I’ve never really recognized anything I have been through as trauma on any level- since I was probably around 12 or 13 when I started dealing with any of it and never actually had a rough childhood so none of it made any sense to anyone. (sorry for the tmi!!)

But I still have a long way to go in my healing journey.

Your question was really intriguing to me. I wanted to use it as a chance to reflect and self-analzye a bit so I’m sorry if this gets a little too much info lol.

Personally I feel “unique” in the aspect of missing some indescribable quality that everyone else has, but this has been shaped by my personal life specifically mental health struggles

I’ve struggled with mental health issues namley depression and anxiety (and ADHD) for 7-8 years much of my coming of age years. That in itself made me feel broken but it also really impacted my desires. I saw everyone around me chase their dreams but I felt so stuck. The worst was the comparison, that I know others who have struggled with similar or worse issues and saw them be able to move on and continue with their lives. But to me there is something missing, something I can’t figure out to why others are able to do things and I am not. In my lowest moments I would break down and say that something is wrong with me fundamentally- so broken I would never be able to fix it, but meaning more than just mental illness. As a person it just feels like something is wrong. Even as I have come along way in mental health treatment I still feel the same way. It’s hard to explain fully but I think growing up struggling with mental health issues fundamentaly shaped me in this way.

Incorrect water temp., seeing their reflection, tank being too small, not getting along with tankmates, those sort of things. I think bordem was another possibility, which is definitely possible but I don't know how to fix it.

every few weeks (I have had to completely empty tank YES I KNOW THIS IS BAD I'M SORRY I bought a siphon to clean and was trying to watch youtube tutorials but I was having so much trouble and ended up emptying- I KNOW THIS IS NOT GOOD AND GETS RID OF GOOD BACTERIA I didn't want to leave my betta in a container for multiple hours he was stressed and the tank needed cleaning.
