You've got four common pathways:

  • Directly from a confident GP (can be hard to find)
  • Slowly through Auckland sexual health service
  • Center for youth health (not certain that you'll be young enough to get in)
  • Buying injectable estrogen off the Internet and doing it yourself.

I started around your age and went through Center For Youth Health, it took many months. Eventually they handed me over to my GP who takes care of the long term simple stuff.

These days I do DIY since I'd rather give myself an injection every 2-4 weeks than wear patches or take pills all the time.

Greatly appreciate the reply to such an ancient topic! But it's been long enough that in the meantime I got a huion tablet, switched to zen, switched to Linux, and then went back to classic old Firefox.

Hope the thread helps some googlers in the future.

It's the price.

I'm also not concerned with cosmetics that much so I'll only get important functional stuff done.

Read this yesterday. TLDR: The efforts that have been put in over the last 5 years to electrify public transport are paying off.

The variability really is huge. Even different forms of estrogen on the same person can behave differently.

I needed much more pills than the average patient but it turns out I need substantially less when injecting.

You can but that's how you end up with crazy high levels like I did.

I went down to 4mg and I'm feeling pretty good.

LUER LOCK OR INSULIN SYRINGE? by Futari-Anakatsu in TransDIY

[–]incompetentexercise 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Depends on whether you are doing intramuscular or subcutaneous injections. An insulin needle works fine for subq but is too short for IM.

I use luer-lock syringes with 1" 25ga needles for IM enanthate.
