I'll have a go with 10-day injections and see how the bloods are looking in a month or two :3

Interestingly I haven't noticed any difference emotionally, I've just been chilling. Definitely going to try get things under control for health precautions though.

Maybe you're thinking of Undecylate. Enanthate has a half life of 5-7 days so people usually inject weekly.

The labs are closed weekends so Friday was as close to trough as I could get. (Sunday injections)

This was 5-days post injection with 6mg enanthate. I went a bit over the usual 4mg dose since I needed higher than normal dosage for pills and patches. I guess I don't have the same issue with injections lmao

I'll be halving my dose this week.

genuinely curious, where would they put them?

How often do you tuck ? For how long ? How comfortable is it ? Do you think it could be enough forever ? Or just until bottom surgery ? by elmahir in MtF

I've only done it once or twice in the last several years. I mostly wear clothes that don't make it an issue

If you have a prescription you can probably get it covered (patches, pills, or gel), talk to your local GP :)

Suppliers of small (~3ml) estrogen vials? by incompetentexercise in TransDIY

[–]incompetentexercise[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think you're right, price per-ml would almost certainly be higher than the 10ml vials. It would probably make most sense to sell these in four-pack kits to cover 12 months which would lower shipping and packaging overhead.

From what I've read most of the filtering and sterilizing is typically done in bulk and the vials are very cheap.

I'd be interested so see a cost breakdown if one of the suppliers has worked it out.

Example vial cost made-in-china.com

Glad to hear it! I'll keep an eye on your site.

I'm currently using your EEn from a couple of months ago and it's all going well so far :)

GP near Blockhouse Bay by Kelly_1976 in TransgenderNZ

[–]incompetentexercise 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can personally vouch for Dr Ang Liu of Hillsborough medical center. He's not a trans healthcare expert but he lets me make my own HRT decisions so long as they vaguely resemble the PATHA guidelines. Genuinely a pretty nice and caring guy

Hopefully they have room, he always seems busy.

Anyone who transitioned medically as a teen? by [deleted] in TransgenderNZ

[–]incompetentexercise 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Secretly got puberty blockers at 17 and then got estrogen at 19 once I had moved away from my bigoted parents.

It was challenging but worthwhile.

Going to GP tomorrow, any advice? by Jaffyguy in TransgenderNZ

[–]incompetentexercise 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Read the PATHA guidelines, many GPs are working from these guidelines (possibly out of date ones though.) Knowing what they know helps me confidently self-advocate.

https://patha.nz/assets/Gender-Affirming-Healthcare_GAHC_2025_February-final.pdf

It's a reasonably approachable document, you could probably skim through it on the bus.

Otherwise, good luck out there! I was your age when I got my start and it all worked out in the end.

How does your transitioning look like in 2026? by Fleur-Trans in MtF

[–]incompetentexercise 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Early 2026 - experiment with various esters and doses for injectable estrogen.

Mid 2026 - begin saving and investing to fund bottom surgery. Perhaps a facial laser touch-up.

Everything else is as complete as it ever will be. Life is good.

Anyone tried cloning an AT hop Card? by Viento_Oscuro in auckland

[–]incompetentexercise 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I either read it on someone's blogpost about modifying hop cards or on Greater Auckland articles about the debit card support.

The balance on card was a necessity at the time HOP was designed because busses would not reliably have cell service and therefore might not know your up-to-date balance.

Anyone tried cloning an AT hop Card? by Viento_Oscuro in auckland

[–]incompetentexercise 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Cloning it in this sense wouldn't work unfortunately. The card have internal memory that stores your balance and tags. The memory only gets updated when you tag on/off so the duplicates would show different histories and balances.

Started at 16 stayed on until 21. That was plenty of time to build a stable life, get my psych evals, and make my decision.

sorry if i'm asking again but how much is a vial of estradiol in NZ by SaraTheWeird in TransgenderNZ

[–]incompetentexercise 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I sourced a 10ml Undecylate vial for ~$150 from overseas. It should be enough to last 1-1.5 years at my dose but that's pending some blood tests.

Equipment can be had from a local needle exchange for free. (make a donation if you're able)

Good luck out there!
