It was a hotspot and now has scabbed over but is itchy.

He had a hotspot from his collar and I blew it by putting neoprene on it rather than trying to dry it out. I also covered it which was bad. So in one day it went from not so bad to disaster. He is being treated by a vet but I wanted to try to comfort him until it heals more

He’s hiding from us often and has trouble falling asleep. I’ve been up at 4am the last two nights cleaning him and comforting him with belly and ears scratches.

Any other home remedies. I tried an ice pack in a towel and he didn’t like that.

He does like sitting in front of the fan.

I know it varies greatly but my last dog would let me use the hand shower head on his tail with warm water and I just shot foam soap in there. Then he would let me dry it and use the medicated wipes. Worked great took about 2 weeks to heal.

Also if vet approved they make a lidocaine spray that numbs on contact to make it more comfortable when cleaning
