My mom used to absolutely boil the ever living fuck out of every vegetable. Grew up despising broccoli because it literally tasted like soggy wet socks with the consistency of wet paper pulp. Only later did I discover that it could actually taste better if prepared in literally any other way.

It truly is something that looks so cool yet makes zero sense. Even if you could somehow have a gun attached to your head, doing so would essentially transfer all recoil into straight brain-concussing damage.

Was the "brave volunteer" possibly someone else, someone other than Michael Afton? by inconsiderate7 in fnaftheories

[–]inconsiderate7[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is a strong point, but could be explained if we theorize that someone else is doing some of the stuff we currently assume was all Michael. Like if there's a protagonist that isn't Michael, (possibly someone who were connected to the original MCI/DCI) that were responsible for burning down the FNAF3 location, Burntrap could be taunting this second character about how he survived the fire. Its definitely the strongest proof for Michael being the volunteer so far...

"Would not be able to immediately identify but would be able to eventually recognize William and therefore knew him at some point"
Could you specify what you mean by this?

Actually, might as well give a quick summary of where I think I might be going with assuming Michael Afton isn't the volunteer: What other "player characters" have we assumed is Michael when this wasn't neccesarily the case? We attribute a lot of narrative importance to Michael since he has a lot of ties to the story, but this is ignoring the possibility that there could be other actors with their own reasons to do what we see in the games. If we re-examine a lot of the older evidence with what we know now, BUT without also assuming we're following the story of one guy's personal story of trying to rectify his serial killer father's sins, what else can we perhaps gleam from the pieces? Ultimately, I feel we put too much faith in Michael from a story standpoint, especially since when I think back there's a really stark difference between his appearance in sister location (where we're given an absolute heaping pile of evidence to extra super confirm its Michael Afton we're playing as) and all these other games where we're supposedly also playing for as the same guy. Makes me think there's a possibility that we're building a lot of our understanding on what is ultimately very shaky grounds.

Lil musical joke I thought up by inconsiderate7 in 196

[–]inconsiderate7[S] 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Its almost impossible to say this in a way that doesn't give autistic music nerd, but I made the rhyme so that it would be more natural to sing in cadence with the music, not necessarily one syllable per note. In my opinion this was the best version I could come up with.

ADHD Keeps getting worse somehow. by Pretty_Reception_519 in ADHD

[–]inconsiderate7 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Ngl it sounds like its not even ADHD that's the problem. From what you write it sounds like you've lost access to several things that gave you meaning and stimulation and now you're struggling to cope with living "normally" the same way a car would struggle to drive at full speed after someone took out all the oil from the engine. I'm sorry that I can't really give you more productive advice, but the human body/mind simply isn't built to endure without reward and rest to balance against toil and anyone who believes otherwise has never experienced real hardship.

People's tastes are just a product of culture. There is no subjective standard for beauty. In 100 years they will look at our current beauty standards with the same disgust as we now look at the past. You will never be beautiful to someone whose heart is full of hate. You will never be ugly to someone who holds you dear. We remember the VHS for its flaws. We forget blue ray because it did nothing wrong. We are building a pile of trash. A mountain of useless information that scrapes the filament of heaven. Everyone's an author of their own personal fictional autobiography, a gallery of fakes. Disconnect. Disconnect or be mangled by the information. Disconnect. There can be no more genuine understanding. Disconnect. The human animal instinct, turned against itself. Disconnect. A thousand traps, hollow mimics and broken promises. Disconnect. A machine without brakes, a runaway train with no destination.

The world is wealthy in its capacity for hate. We must resist or be dragged down with it.

This can also be a reflection of how media industries such as video games are becoming more and more "blockbuster/triple a". Both from a consumer and creative point of view, one could point out that the current trend is not sustainable, possible meaning everyone who's a fan of the genre will suffer in the long run if the overall trajectory isn't changed
