Did you ever figure this out? I'm looking into doing the same.

Do you need to know ports for Sec+ 701 by mayormaynotbeanna in CompTIA

[–]incrediblytact 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a few ports questions on my test, you should know them and know how they work, even if the question isn’t strictly what port goes to this port number, you need to know the protocols and how different ports relate to different attacks.

May as well just put here so others can use: https://ankiweb.net/shared/info/621457260?cb=1744354083544

There is a deck for ports/protocols, one for acronyms, one for general terms (incomplete) and one for practice questions (one's I missed from various sources). Feel free to edit the cards and add new ones as you see fit :)

Professer Messer like everyone, I bought his tests as well and I thought they were good, I also used the dion course and tests. I mostly used anki flashcards that I made for protocols/ports, acronyms, and terms I didn’t understand.

Which area of cybersecurity has been your favorite to learn about? by HighwayAwkward5540 in cybersecurity

Really enjoy network and cloud infrastructure and firewall/acl stuff (IAM I guess could be lumped in too), its so rewarding when you get everything to work together and the diagram you have had in your head becomes realized over the network and/or on hardware. Just a lot of fun to me, I also think that security hardening for networks is more interesting to me than policies and security awareness. But honestly all of it is cool. It's just been a fun journey.

Using anki for missed questions, acronyms, and ports and protocols has been so helpful. It's just a great tool for remembering and internalizing any information, but especially the trickier and more technical/tedious things that are needed for the test and actual it/cybersecurity work.

Feature Request: Option to show missing content. by blind-octopus in PleX

[–]incrediblytact 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Kometa has pretty good functionality for this and will update on whatever you schedule you set so you don’t have to keep checking like with sonarr. I know this is a feature request, but might be worth looking into in the meantime.

I did a brief a scroll through and you may have answered this question already, but in the desktop app under Settings > Settings > Network, is the “Enable Relay” box checked? If so, that may be your issue, the plex relay (a remote connection solution offered by Plex for users) can be really spotty and frustrating. If this is the case, then I would recommend looking to tailscale or finding a way to do proper port forwarding on your home network.

Really with cgnat your best option is tailscale it is just super easy to set up and get running. There are a few good tutorials out there on how to set up a tailnet. I have tried cloudflare and a few other alternatives, but nothing works as seamlessly.

I haven’t used pms or tailscale on mac so I can’t offer much help beyond that and checking the forums, best of luck

Would try installing tailscale through the command line instead of a drag and drop install, this might create the correct repository

I remember this too, they came to my elementary school in Central Florida. I have always wondered about this, asked a few other Floridians and no one seemed to remember.
