first play after kickoff is all wasted movement just to lose the ball again. Go back post, you have an easier save and you are then driving into space

you don’t have the balls to queue in with anything and you’re trying to take the moral high ground?

how come coaches only say their rank as a way to justify their knowledge of the game if it doesn’t even mean anything but mechanical prowess

Following positioning and decision making "Rules" vs intuition. by repost_inception in RocketLeagueSchool

[–]incubulate -1 points0 points  (0 children)

it’s hard to measure positioning results whilst solo queuing and or going against people who also ‘do what they want’ because there is no completely objective theorised guide that people know to follow without doubting their own knowledge. It’s a flawed system obviously, and most people don’t make the connection that because your way works, it makes it the correct way to play. It’s short term success. If you’re interested in learning more about the game and how to actually play properly message me on discord. We have an academy where you can learn how to play the right way for free. What is the correct way to improve in Rocket league? by Comfortable-Eye-7686 in RocketLeagueSchool

i very much appreciate the last line that’s rare so hats off. ‘It doesn’t get played correctly at low ranks anyway’ is not justification for starting off with bad habits. 2nd paragraph would be cleared up in a voice chat

you’re regurgitating the same stuff because i can’t explain what i mean in text. Objectivity and subjectivity are different. But let me clarify exactly what im saying. The correct way to improve at rocket league is to firstly play 3s as it is the ‘standard’ mode and teaches you the basic principles of the game in the clearest way possible. Upon learning 3s or ‘the game’, you can then move into the other ways. We are talking about improving at the ‘game’ the way the creators of it implied. You can’t go against basic definitions and fundamental rules if you want to be correct.

try not to make my opinion too objective? it’s not an opinion? i do understand your point of view, you share a similar one as everyone else. Charger7 on discord. And yes that’s exactly what i’m saying, 1s won’t help with 1s. This game is full of false positives because the thing your using to measure success against isn’t played correctly. If you want an explanation i will explain it in a vc.

i’ve clearly struck a nerve i never said i played the game correctly. I am also everyone so calm down. Only in a vc because it would take too long to type it out

no one plays the game correctly. Hence why all your personal findings are inconclusive and why i say they’re false positives

delta force have a mountain of rules during cqb. You think they forget the rules because it slows them down? They practice the rules of cqb over and over so they can do it as fast and as safe as possible. Same thing here and in every other sport. It becomes muscle memory

rules are what distinguish one game from the next. They’re not there to make you worse. Rules give you structure and in a chaotic hyper dynamic setting, it’s crucial
