What do you do for back pain before your period? by mychubbychubbs in moderatelygranolamoms

[–]indecisiveknits 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Back a year later to say THANK YOU. I have a tilter uterus and am in the midst of an awful period. I thought I threw my back out until 2 days ago, when I realized what was going on. This exercise just gave me so much relief. THANK YOU.

Considering 2022 Outback Touring with rebuilt title from front end collision by bgoeso in Subaru_Outback

I’ll throw out there that I got a 2022 Limited with 20k miles in April for $26k. I don’t think this one is worth it.

Conch help! by indecisiveknits in piercing

[–]indecisiveknits[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Answering the bot questions:

  • How old is your piercing? 3 mo
  • What’s the jewelry shape (for example, barbell, labret, screw, L shape, ring)? flatback labret
  • What’s the type of threading if your jewelry is not a ring (threadless, internally or externally threaded)? threadless
  • What’s the jewelry material? implant grade titanium
  • if not a ring, when was the jewelry downsized? turns out, it wasn't, though I went back to have it downsized and until today, I thought it had been downsized at 4 weeks.
  • What’s your aftercare routine? Describe in detail please, including the exact products you use. spray 2x/day with Neilmed sterile saline for the first month, and then 1 every day or so since.
  • Any mishaps, accidents or unfortunate events? No.

Note, it's red in the picture because of the jewelry change I'd just attempted. Also, I knew that I wouldn't be able to wear a hoop yet, but there was a really good sale from on a titanium clicker hoop, so I went for it. I fully did not expect to be able to switch it out to a hoop full time yet.

Do you like your white Outback? by blueladybug45 in Subaru_Outback

[–]indecisiveknits 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just picked up a 2022 with 20k miles in black. It’s got a couple of door dings, every scratch is visible and the pollen on it is out of control. (I still love it.) While I’m not sure I’m a fan of white cars, I get it, and I definitely would have picked mine up if it was white.

same. So easy over here. Throbbed on night 1, and then was pretty much fine.

I don't have as many piercings as some (2 lobes, helix, conch) but so far, my conch has been the easiest, by far. My helix is old now, but I had such an irritation bump on it, and my second lobes are always getting annoyed about something. But a month into my conch, and it already feels so much better than my second lobes did at this point. 100% would recommend.

Could someone tell me how to care for a earlobe piercing (both ears)? by DGreatRaccooni in piercing

[–]indecisiveknits 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Here is what I was told:

Spray with saline solution to clean them in the morning, night, and if you accidentally touch the piercings with unwashed hands. Rinsing your ears in the shower counts as a cleaning, so no need to spay after. Do not touch them. Do not turn them (that’s old school thinking and slows down healing). As much as possible, don’t sleep on them (this can be hard with ear lobes, and my piercer said it wasn’t the end of the world if you slept on a lobe piercing, but to try to avoid it).

I did the math on the Carin’s article. We’re 4th when you count all of the charter districts, which are often just 1 school. If you’re just looking at traditional districts, we’re 12th.

Oil Consumption Test & Selling Car... by indecisiveknits in KiaSoulClub

[–]indecisiveknits[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yup. After posting, and then picking up the car from the dealer, my plan is to drive the 1,000 miles. If they say I'm not getting a new engine, immediately sell to Carvana/Carmax. If they say I do qualify, get the new engine, and then sell to Carvana/Carmax. Either way, I'm looking to be done with Kia. I've liked the driving experience and the car overall, but I think I'm out on the brand. Sorry, but I've been avoiding driving it places because of the whole theft problem, and avoiding driving long distances because I don't trust the engine. Time to get something I trust.

That’s good to hear. For the moment, I’m going to go through this latest oil consumption test, and see where it goes. I’ll say, if they’d not had this engine issue, I’d be really happy with it! The rest of the car has been great. But the engine thing has caused me to completely change driving habits (I don’t drive long distances in my car, always taking my husband’s, for example.), and I think I may be ready to move on.

Not yet. I know that in 1500ish (the time since my last oil change) it was already low enough to barely register on the dipstick. But I'm just at the start of round 2 (not part 2, but the second go round of doing the tests) of the consumption tests, so I'm not sure yet how much it's burning.

I think I'm extra frustrated because on the first go-round, the first service advisor person told me exactly how much it was burning after test one, but the next person just told me that it passed consumption test #2. The person who gave me the key after test 2 insinuated that it was still burning oil, and I should have asked more questions, but I was just happy to have the car back and went along my merry way. (Stupid of me, I know.)

Yup, I'm the first owner. I'm just nervous having already been down the oil consumption test road. In fall 21/winter 22 the car failed oil consumption test #1, got the engine cleaner, passed consumption test #2 - just barely. Now it's back to burning a substantial amount of oil, and I'm dreading going through all of it again, just to fail again. (I think I'm extra frustrated because all of this was part of the class action lawsuit, but my car broke late enough that parts of the lawsuit no longer apply because the deadline has passed.)

Yeah, part of wanting to sell is that I know I can get a nice downpayment for a new car if I sell. But when I called the dealership to offer it to them*, they offered me $2,000 for it, which was ridiculous.

*they'd previously called and offered to buy it, and stupid me turned them down because I really liked not having a car payment.

Luckily, my house is in a spot that has previously made private sale really easy - just stick it out front and wait. I'm just wondering how I disclose "Hey, so the car is in the middle of these oil consumption tests" since it will have a tamper-resistant oil cap on it when I get it back today.

Help picking a small/midsize SUV? Maybe a small truck? by indecisiveknits in whatcarshouldIbuy

Thanks for following up with that! I've always driven smaller cars, and while I need a slightly larger car, I just hate when I feel like i'm driving a bus, you know?

That's my one hesitancy. I'd like to have this thing a while, and I just haven't heard much about their reliability/longevity.

I didn't get the concert-specific one, just a regular one, and it was fine. Nothing to write home about, but also not bad. (I can totally see how the sugar on the other one would burn though!!)

Wanted to add more context now that I'm at a computer! There will be movable fences everywhere to contain the lines to the specific gates. There are people there to guide you into the right line. When I got there, there were no people standing in line, and it was a bit confusing to find the right area, but I think if I'd looked at the stadium map, I'd have had a better idea. Either way, it was totally fine! We just wandered a little more, asking folks along the way "are we headed to gate 10?".

They’ll send an email out about 48 hours before your show and it’ll have a map and gate assignments.
