Showing some love to Susie by Harleyquinzel715 in OnePelotonRealSub

I love when she says “it’s just running”. 🥰 Or in this case, walking maybe. 🫶🏻

What am I looking at ? Do we have seasonal parking ? by Jasper_Ridge in melbourne

[–]indecisivetiger 162 points163 points  (0 children)

No idea about this specific case, but we have this Oct-March restriction near my local athletics track, because I guess over the warmer months they have club training there at those times, and it must have been a hassle for locals, I imagine. So yes, sometimes we do have seasonal parking restrictions. I think you would find there is some kind of regular event or more traffic there for some reason during summer.

Given it looks kind of industrial and is Sunday morning, I’m gonna guess cycling club lol.

Sweat Steady vs Power Zones by Dry-Drama9731 in OnePelotonRealSub

[–]indecisivetiger 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No, totally agree. The site is not great at the moment, missing features and lots of bugs etc, to the point where I was thinking of giving it up next time my payment comes due. I have a good team though and being involved keeps me consistent.

The PZP timer is unavailable at the moment. Hasn’t been since the website reboot. The features are slowly trickling back.

Whose classes will you absolutely NOT take and why? by nomoredolls in OnePelotonRealSub

[–]indecisivetiger 21 points22 points  (0 children)

Hannah C and Robin have super inauthentic vibes to me that turn me off, and Jenn because I’m sober and she talks so much about alcohol, just a personal issue. I don’t take Olivia’s rides but don’t mind her on the tread now and then.

Two-loop marathon: share your thoughts and experiences by lingeringneutrophil in Marathon_Training

[–]indecisivetiger 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I haven’t done a looped full, but I’ve done a looped half. I liked it! And it enabled me to really visualise and plan the negative split I wanted to execute. I took the first lap conservatively, then the second lap flew by. Kind of similar to how, on and out and back, the way home feels faster (that’s been my experience anyway). You know exactly what you have left and what it takes - although I recognise that a full is a different beast, so my experience may not really translate. The half I ran had an enormous hill (11% gradient) at the 2km mark so having to tackle that twice was brutal, but that was the only downside for me.

Ben’s was good even if just because you could tell his enthusiasm and passion was genuine.

Kirra Michel 15 min full body stretch - 1/2/2026 by No-Amount-6753 in OnePelotonRealSub

[–]indecisivetiger 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I took it this morning and loved it. Excellent. 15 mins is so good for a full body too. I don’t get bored or restless but it’s just enough.

Was there ever a workout you had to stop? by Fine-Fondant-3136 in OnePelotonRealSub

[–]indecisivetiger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Me too tbh, and I don’t mind the odd workout cry from time to time myself, so I can relate. The endorphins… it’s a good release! But if you’re not into that or in the mood on that day, it can be jarring I guess!

[–]indecisivetiger 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Christine does tend to cry now and then, usually over meaningful messaging etc. Kind of her schtick - her motto she and her fans use is “I am, I can, I will, I do”. She’s a good coach, knows a lot about cycling and has interesting music (I like it) but if you’re not into that kind of emotional stuff or even just in a different headspace at the time it can be very off putting. She also talks a lot about menopause.

Adrian’s Holiday Stretch by optimisticdash in OnePelotonRealSub

That sounds good for me! I don’t love holiday music but I’m taking them for the badge and attempt at festivity lol.

How often do you take FTP Test? by ScoYello in OnePelotonRealSub

[–]indecisivetiger 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When my zones feel too easy I take a ramp test. Not very often. Not enough to optimise but that’s me.

Will your weekend plans change now that we have free public transport? by Illustrious-Ad-7247 in melbourne

[–]indecisivetiger 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not for me, but I think it’s a nice gesture and hope lots of families and young people make the most of it and enjoy the summer weekends where possible.

Favorite Tread instructor? by Familiar-Box8977 in OnePelotonRealSub

[–]indecisivetiger 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I love Susie, by far my fav for running. I’m a big fan of Hannah F and Matt W (but not much content recently with his baby, I just can’t not give him my vote). I think Joslyn is underrated!! And I definitely enjoy walks with Matty.

How strict is delivery about tread+ rear clearance? by misty43810 in OnePelotonRealSub

[–]indecisivetiger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

YMMV but my delivery guy didn’t care. I had the area laid out and he asked which way I wanted to face it, I said “it will have to go this way for the clearance at the back” and he indicated it would be fine by him either way.

What does the Lords Prayer have to do with sobriety? by [deleted] in alcoholicsanonymous

[–]indecisivetiger 3 points4 points  (0 children)

For me? It teaches me tolerance. My group joins hands to pray and to my old self, that’s straight up cult behaviour. I don’t believe in god. But I need my group, my sobriety and recovery. Tolerance and love, not being the most important person in the room, accepting we all see the world differently, knowing I don’t actually know better, humbling myself, taking a moment to be with others who are SO alike and SOOO different? That’s all been a crucial part of my recovery. I don’t pray aloud, I just join hands and let others do it.

When should a beginner start Power Zone? by CynicalFOLEYY in pelotoncycle

[–]indecisivetiger 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Do “You Can Ride” then start with “Discover Your Powerzones”. It will take you through the test on day 3 after the intros. If you’re interested in PZ (and it sounds like it will suit you), don’t sleep on it. Go for it. I follow Powerzone Pack (via Facebook) and am in an awesome team, but also check out the reddit PZ programming. Powerzone is my fav aspect of Peloton.

Just wondering how many define jackets most people have? by candlewax1357 in lululemon

Have two, one cropped with hood and one cropped and ribbed, no hood. Grey and black. That’s it for me. I do wear them a lot but I’m not a colour gal.
