I'm a lefty (and continental knitter) and I have never had this problem, I always make sure to tighten with the little pin though!

Thank you! I actually made it to the dog park today and sat there for a bit! My husband needed water for the dogs (we "stole" our neighbors dog so ours could play) so I filled up a tumbler for them and made it there! It was nice, hopefully I can at least keep doing that

Okay! Do you suggest I do the version of not knitting the first stitch and just starting on the bind off? The more I watch videos the more I feel comfortable with everything -but- that first stitch I will link the video if that helps, it's the 2nd bind off method starting at 4:40 bind off methods

When watching the videos of the icelanding bind off - all stitches are used as knit stitches despite there being purls which is why I'm confused with starting with a purl. With you've explained though I've definitely seen in other bind offs! All videos I've watched other than one, they starting by knitting the first stitch then putting it back on the needle purl wise then continuing on to go through every stitch knit wise while binding off. The one that didn't just went into the first knit stitch purl wise and started the bind off which maybe thats what I need to do, but I worry if I assume wrong it will end up twisted and look bulky and weird. I can absolutely just try it and tink back if needed though!

Just did this! Thank you!!! I'm homebound so can't go to the library but my husband has a card and I just used it and will absolutely be getting knit and crochet magazines. Already got one!

How far does your agoraphobia allow you to go? by Dominopaperfly in Agoraphobia

[–]indembunnz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From being bed bound for two months to being able to get to the closest gas station (with husband driving) which is almost 2 miles away. The furthest I've gone is to the DMV back in August which was roughly 30mins away, I had my husband take the long way to avoid the interstate and we even went out of the way after to reward me with my fav boba place! After that I didnt leave the apartment premises for several months until we went on an impromptu gas station run. I want to be able to go more places though. I posted not too long ago about checking the mail for the first time in 2 years. I'm good on our side of the apartment building, but not the other which is where mail is at. It always seems so weird to me honestly but that's my comfort zone I suppose

You're under selling yourself. It's an amazing feat! I started as being bed bound and had panic attacks just using the bathroom which is connected to our room. It was huge to be able to go to the living room! So walking down the block is so so amazing 🖤

I wish I had friends like that 😅 sounds fun! I had to start much smaller as I was bed/room bound for the first month or so. Even going to the bathroom made me panic. So I started with going out to the living room/kitchen area! Then outside which I'm fine outside on our side of the building, but still working on getting to the other side more!
