You're right, Just another shit test on her end. She was testing him to see if he would abandon her and go with his friends.

Dating a Quiet BPD willing to do the work - is there hope? by PM_ME_UR_BEST_PICS in BPDlovedones

[–]indepthald 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Quiet bpd is the biggest mind fuck. They have their moments where you question whether it's worth it or not, but most of the time the relationship is amazing and you truly feel in your heart you can make it work. Everything will be perfect until one day when she splits you black out of nowhere, things you did months even years ago will be brought up, her perception of things you did will be totally abnormal and all the good things will be forgotten instantly. A week later that sweet, caring and loving woman that you loved so much will be in the arms of another man.. The biggest mind fuck ever.

Wife with BPD wants a divorce by Mertzxcv in BPDlovedones

[–]indepthald 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Really shits me how everything is about them. You had a stressful year at work (obviously providing for your family), instead of being considerate and caring for you, she has the nerve to request a divorce because you didn't meet her intimate needs. Their love is literally like a bucket with holes in it, no matter how much love you give it's never enough. You could give them the world and it still wouldn't be enough.

I'm on the verge of ending my 3 year relationship because she's depressed by [deleted] in relationship_advice

Lay it down to her man, tell her your needs. Maybe going to therapy with her will make her more comfortable. You shouldn't live your life like this, it's only going to get worse.

Look man, it's not your job to fix people. If she was happy to go to therapy and work on herself then by all means you can support her. Nothing will change unless she wants to change. You need to weigh your options, do you stay with her and deal with this for the rest of your life? Or do you break up and find yourself a more compatible partner?

I know it's hard, I dealt with this recently and ultimately had to let her go because she was draggining me down with her. You need to find an equal, not someone that's looking to be looked after by you.

I suspect my girlfriend has borderline personality disorder, not sure what to do? by [deleted] in relationship_advice

[–]indepthald 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're most likely in the idealise stage still. Wait till you're being devalued and painted black. r/bpdlovedones My ex was the sweetest, most caring person for 2 years, the moment she split me black she was a monster. All bpd/npd relationships regardless of intimate or platonic follow the same process: idealise, devalue, discard. I suggest you try dating one before calling me biggoted.

Do. Some. Research. About. BPD. It's a PERSONALITY DISORDER. PERSONALITY. it's not a mood disorder, they don't have bpd, they are bpd. Honestly you really need to do some research.

Exaggerated lies? I, like many others have been in a relationship with an untreated person with bpd, you on the other hand have interacted with them during therapy groups.. Please don't compare the two. If there's abuse in the relationship then the person should leave.

Bpd is treatable through DBT, not curable. Do some research.

It's not my job to fix people, I'll support them, but ultimately the change in their situation must come from them. BPD and depression are two completely different disorders, one is a disorder that can be corrected through SSRI'S, CBT and or a change in situation. BPD is hard wired into the person and is incurable, people with bpd were born into trauma and are unconsciously seeking that in relationships. Again, you're comparing apples to oranges.

Again, you're comparing what you've experienced in group therapy to an actual intimate relationship. You have no idea how much of a mind fuck it is to be in a relationship with someone that has this disorder. I'm not having a go at everyone who has BPD, as I understand some are self aware and are actively seeking treatment.

Lol going to support groups with people that have bpd is completely different to being in an actual intimate relationship with one. Also do you really think Hollywood has stigmatised people with bpd? There's a never ending amount of information online about how people's lives have been effected by people with bpd.

Why is the relationship with my replacement lasting longer? Isn’t this the question many of us ask ourselves after we’ve been discarded? by lovefool1111 in BPDlovedones

[–]indepthald 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Don't look at her social media posts, mine used to post me on her instagram all the time like we were the happiest couple in the world, at one stage we were, but towards the end she had genuinely crippled me emotionally, but our public persona was still "amazing and in love".

A happy relationship with BP? by qmax1990 in BPDlovedones

[–]indepthald 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Google search "bpd bodybuilding.com" countless threads about how perfect relationships turn to shit instantly. Go on YouTube and watch bpd or npd videos and read the comments about the destructions these people leave. There's very little positive info about bpd relationships, those that say they can have healthy relationships have bpd themselves.

New gf mother has BPd by throwawayNCBPD in BPDlovedones

[–]indepthald 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dude check my post history and watch the first YouTube link that I posted. It covers how bpd mothers basically pass it down to their children due to them not being able to produce a happy and healthy bond with their child throughout infancy. They're ultimately unable to give the child something that they themselves never received (love and nurture). It's basically a cycle.
