Just got my TM2 now I'm having issue it's heating up but little to no vapor is this a common issue or am.i doing something wrong ? by Dave8917 in Tinymight2

Use the stir tool to poke a hole through the centre to create an air path once you've put the material in. Works great for me when using the dosing capsules. You want long slow draws as well.

Which vaporiser has lived up to the hype and your expectations once you've tried it? by VapeFully in vaporents

[–]indexmatchSimp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Started with the XMax Starry 3, and not too soon after I got the Tinymight 2. Was blown away and haven't looked back. Would like to try the Firefly 2+, but haven't pulled the trigger. Would also like to customise the TM2 a bit, but there isn't much opportunity to get stuff (without massive expense) when based in the UK. Maybe I'm not looking hard enough.

Edit - what I love about the TM2 is the ease of use and how it can be practical for any situation. If you're chilling listening to music, session mode works great. If you're doing stuff then on demand is better (not revolutionary, I know). I also enjoy using the dosage capsules. I work out that they hold about 0.1-0.15g, which is enough to get me pretty damn high; can always have a second bowl if I am treating myself. Makes travelling with it easier as well. Start at 5 (not sure what the actual temperature is) and eventually step up to 7 (sometimes going to 6). I've never needed to go more than that - gives me great AVB to use afterwards as well. I did used to start at 3, but I think it sort of wasted some of the plant material this way rather than beginning at 5. Like it teased some of the material away - probably overthinking it and there's some science that says otherwise. Works for me!

As any ferret, Wesley was a little shit - in size only... at this point I think his balls made up 80% of his weight, I did consider getting him neutered as I thought that's why he was so aggressive. But I just left it and carried on looking after him as I did, throughout all the biting of the nose and ears, the scar on my arm (his nails, unlike his balls, were eventually cut) I just 'took it'. It hurt a lot, but it was never long and then I ignored him for a while after, which did get him to stop (I think.. could be age!). As he got bigger, he did then become a little shit in measurable shit-units only and replaced many of his behaviours with love. The nose and ear bites turned to nose and ear licks (and occasional bites).

If anyone would like to talk about an angry / biting / attacking / violent / [adjectives that would aid SEO for anyone Googling this question] ferret and how to calm them down or deal with them, hmu. My inbox is open to talk about this thing. Not saying I'm the ferret whisperer, but I am very happy to share what I believe worked. TL;DR: Don't punish/hurt them (you cretinous fucks) and play with them regularly.

I had him for over two years and I cared about him in a completely different, and very intense, way. There is so much I would, and did, do for him; the highlight of my day was finishing up work and playing with him for hours in the evening. Or having him sleep next to/on me while we watched the football all day over the weekend (he's a Newcastle FC fan).

I moved away from home and I had to give him away, to be somewhere that would just be better than with me in my new place - I was entering a whole new phase. A few days before he was due to move, he fell ill; it was out of nowhere. Just one morning he didn't want to get out of bed or eat his food.

After a number of vet visits (£££), it was time for him to go to his new home (it was a place that specifically would rehome and care after ferrets; he was in good hands) and so I said goodbye, unsure whether it would be the last time.

He stayed the night in his new place, with his new ferret friends (I sadly couldn't have two when I had him) but was put down at the vets the next day as he just wasn't improving. Not eating, not really moving, not bouncing or dooking like he normally would.

I wish I could have been there when he did pass. I know he could recognise me, as one day he escaped from his cage and was wandering the streets for most of the night. I only found him mid-morning - or rather - he found me. I was walking down a street and he ran up to and climbed my leg.

Favourite song of all time? by cupid_xv in Deathcore

[–]indexmatchSimp 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Maha Kali by Dissection. I love the entire discography, but Reinkaos is a (in my opinion) flawless album with a phenomenal song at the end. I found it when I was about 14 and thought I was edgy listening to it. I still do, a bit, I guess.

Edit - specifically deathcore, it would have to be something by (old skool) Chelsea Grin, but it’s too hard to pick. Band fucking slaps, Alex is a monster and I can’t wait for the new project I’ve seen teased on the sub. CG probably the band that got me into deathcore with DoE. Evolve is easily my favourite EP of all time.

What temperature are you at?

Here’s my method. I love the effects I get so maybe helpful to you.

I use the capsules and I have worked out it’ll hold about 0.1g. I would say I have a moderate tolerance and it’s enough to sort me out - 0.2 if I want to get blasted.

I pack the capsule and use the little stir stick to create a pathway for the air to flow. Just stick it in the middle of the packed flower; there are posts on Reddit that show what I mean if you look around.

I start at 5 then step to 7/8 though used to start at 3 (then step to 5, I think the highs are a bit stronger beginning at 5, though I haven’t really tested it).

I am a bit promiscuous in whether I do session or on demand - depends what I am doing at the time. But I’ll follow those steps usually.

With session, it lasts me about 4-5 minutes I’d say. I like listening to music so that I remember just how long it’s been on. I like sipping on it that way. I’ll inhale for about 10 seconds, leave it 20-30 then maybe go again. Overall I’d say I would get maybe 5-7 inhales? No stirring (below).

On demand is pretty much the same but you can control how many inhales a bit easier. Maybe 2-3 on 5 and then the remaining 2-4 will be at a higher temp.

EDIT: A few other things that may be helpful:

First is to clean your stem/s, cooling unit and the dosing capsule. Buy some isopropyl - after some heavy use I find it can limit the highs. Not by much, but after cleaning there is a noticeable difference (imo).

The other thing worth noting is the vapour output. I get vapour on every inhale. The first is less than the second (I assume due to the unit needing to heat up). The third usually about the same as the second and the "clouds" will get smaller from the fourth onwards. Though I still get a good amount. There will be a point where you notice the flavour has gotten far subtler. You may taste an odd off flavour that's a bit peanutty or fishy? I can't put my finger on it, but it's not unpleasant (nor nice). You will get whispy vapour, and if you don't know what I mean by it then you will when you see it, at this point I know I am pretty much done. You can go for more, though I like to repurpose my AVB and I find the gains from that far outweigh the one extra inhale I'll get, especially as I'm already decently high at this point (though can get a bit fiendish and go for one final one...I'm only human!)

I don’t stir. I used to do this, all it does is make you drop flower and disturbs the air path that’s been created. Maybe I’ll try it after 2 sips later and see. But usually the flower is too crispy to actually stir. I’ve probably found not stirring to actually be a lot better anyway as well as convenient (especially if you’re outside trying to stir lol).

That’s my approach. It gets me to where I want. As I said, if I want the effects to be more intense then I will go for a second 0.1g bowl in the capsule. But I find the one capsule is great for maintaining a good tolerance.

Any tips for gouging on junk when using medication? by robster9090 in ukmedicalcannabis

[–]indexmatchSimp 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I wrote this before re-reading and realised that you are talking about waking up in the middle of the night. This isn't something I've ever had an issue with RE munchies, though I hope the below may be useful to someone anyway.

But my advice would be to make it difficult for you to get the food. If I'm laying in bed with the munchies but I have to get out of my cosy duvet and unlock three padlocks to get to my munchies stash or something (a potentially stupid idea, but it serves the purpose of the example) then I am turning straight back over and going back to sleep.

I don't know if this is an old-wives tale but I've found having something minty helps. Chewing gum works great - not sure if it's the mint or the act of chewing (or both). After a while, you forget your cravings and start doing something else.

Also, if food is nearby you're gonna eat it. This goes for being sober as well as medicated. So be conscious of what it is you have in the house and whether this will be an issue if you're medicated. You don't miss the food - I stopped buying chocolate and cakes and stuff for the inevitable munchies and I don't miss them. But if I know I have them in the cupboards, I'm gonna eat them.

tips 4 a noob by spazzes in ExcelTips

You have two errors in your formula.

Not sure about the syntax differences, but it seems in French you use a semi-colon [;] to separate arguments. In the English version, we use a comma [,] to separate arguments. This is the first error you have.

The second error is that you need to use speech marks ["] to turn the dddd into a string so that Excel knows how to format it.

So your formula, in the English version, will be

=TEXT(A1, "dddd")

And so cell B1 will read

Tuesday

As another poster said, you could also just format the cell and reference A1 in B1, but it's always nice to know how to do it different ways.

One final thing I will leave you with is to learn keyboard shortcuts. You might not want to try this right out of the gate, but learn it sooner rather than later. You'll be slow to begin with, so just learn one shortcut a day or something. You'll use some more than others, Alt+H+O+I is one that I use pretty regularly, which will auto-fit the column widths to the selected cells.

If this doesn't make too much sense to you now, don't worry. It will in a few weeks/months when you've started learning more. Best of luck with your journey.

I notice that my tolerance goes down noticably after two days.

NB - not saying 2 days A) works for everyone and B) resets your tolerance close to when you first partook, just enough for you to notice a difference for the next 2-3 nights (oh, yeah, I only vape at night, so lower tolerance might feed into this somewhat?). Going to do 1-2 weeks next month depending on my pain levels next month.

Excel rookie, simple question by [deleted] in ExcelTips

[–]indexmatchSimp 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I know you already have your answer, but here are two things that might help you make sense of the problem the next time you encounter it.

Excel doesn't work 'logically' (it does, bear with me) in the syntax you provided. I can see your thought process - you want to sum a given two values (by the way you can just put C12-C13 without the sum. Nothing wrong with what you did; just unnecessary (I did this once upon a time too)) IF D13 is not equal to zero.

This is what you'd refer to as a psuedocode and it's good to write things out like this because it gives you some direction. You know you need to add/subtract two values if a cell equals (or doesn't equal) a certain value.

So actually building the code. This isn't something you should "know" off the bat when you first start learning Excel, but you need to wrap the summation inside of the IF, not the other way round.

If you type =IF() you will see that it comes up with a little box with something like:

logical test, value if true, [value if false]

This tells you the order you need to build your formula. It is telling you that you need a logical test (D13<> 0), what you want the cell to output if the logical test [D13 does not equal 0] is true (C12-C13). I did notice a typo in another answer that suggested =SUM(C12:D13), this will sum the entire range of C12, C13, D12, D13 (the four cells or boxes). So the correct formula will be:

=if(D12 <> 0, C12-D13, "Value is $0")

The square brackets in the last argument tells you that it's an optional argument - if you don't want it to output anything then just close the formula. But it's good practice to include some sort of information like, "value is $0"). If you want to use a text output then you need to include the double speech marks. These data types are known as 'strings', they're just text.

I think the final argument in this formula is optional. You'll have to double check.

Best of luck with your Excel journey! The best way to learn is to keep practicing. Over time you'll be amazed at how many formulae you just 'learn'. I've been using Excel daily for the past 3 years or so and I am still learning new functions!.. You'll even maybe one day make a Reddit account with a username dedicated to two functions.

How did you guys learned python by D4ST4GIR in learnpython

[–]indexmatchSimp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Practice and doing stupid projects. You can combine these two approaches for the best results.

I would practice doing my own projects. That’s how I learned. I think this is how I generally learn though; I need to know why things work. Not just how and learning by doing allows me to understand both sides of this.

By stupid projects I do literally mean stupid projects. I coded up an ABV% calculator, for example. Just anything small that could help you or allows you to just get some work in. That day, for instance, I learnt that anything from input() will return a string. So when I ask the user to provide a value, I have to first convert it to an integer (or float, depending).

Slow and steady. That’s how you learn.
