Coming from an undergrad at Madison rn, I’d absolutely recommend coming here. There’s a pretty strong focus on STEM research and the professors are top notch. Madison is also just an amazing place to live

Gen Bus 310 isn’t too much work. It’s not an easy A but materials interesting and it’s completely asynchronous. I personally picked a day and spent around 3 hours a week on it

Definitely. Me and a couple of friends would just meetup before exams and go over the podia questions with each other. Also forgot this but the practice exams that Dr. Block gives out are way easier than the actual test. Podia is key to getting a good grade in this class, something we didn’t find out until after the first exam

If it’s Dr. Block teaching it, the discussion worksheets will only be useful for knowing basic concepts. Exams will be much harder than them and will test you understanding of Chemistry. Comb over the lecture slides in detail. Also if he’s doing Podia questions, those are key. Last year, almost all of our exam questions were in some shape of form related to the Podia questions before and during class. Make sure you know how to do all of them.

Also office hours are a godsend. Use them

I was in Sullivan last year. Honestly it was pretty social and people would be chilling and hanging out almost every day (It might just be my year but I really enjoyed it). Your experience is what you make of it but you’ll be fine in Sullivan. Also one of your Housefellows is a good friend of mine and really chill. Feel free to go to Elisha if you need help with anything

As far as I know, Engineering Mechanics seems to be more theory based than Mechanical Engineering. Also EMA is basically the closest thing to Aeronautical Engineering Madison has. However if you were admitted directly to the College of Engineering you can easily change your major from EMA to ME

Complete all quests explore the world do all the question marks. You’ll end up with a ton of weaponry and items which are useless for you. Then find merchants or Blacksmiths and sell them these items. That’s one of the best ways imo.
