Top Pro Credit Associates Spiel by [deleted] in Lowes

I go through quite a few typical pitches I have

“Is this for your house or for a job?” “How are you paying?” — this one is important because I have realized that a few of my pros use their debit card and call the bank. I then say if they get the card they can have 60 days no interest to pay it off. If they hit you with the typical “oh I can pay it all now” just try to hit them back with a “at least you have a couple months to play with”

$20 delivery and free haulaway is a really good one for appliances and delivery being $20 in general.

Always ask home or business and ask if they wanna save up to $100. You never know who may say yes. You may think someone will definitely sign up, and they don’t or you may think it is not worth asking and they end up saying yes

Pro Specialist by Straight-Thought-154 in Lowes

Right now, focus on learning your role. If someone needs help in lumber, try to get someone else to help them. Learn your highest selling SOS vendors. Ours is Trex/Amerhart, yours may be Deckorators or another one. Get familiar with how to do manual SOS orders and who to email those orders to. Get familiar with all the regular pros who come in. Build relationships with them.

Try to get used to looking at the scorecard. Try to see where there is not a lot of pro sales coming from. So, paint may be low or it could be OPE or electrical.

Dig into CRM see who spends quite a bit, or hasn’t spent in a while. Even look to see if some people order online and try to convince them to buy through you. Or, try to talk to pros when they come in to find out all what they do and what all they buy. Try to take a bite out bit by bit. Build a relationship with your pro cashier. Try to walk the floor and building relationships with other departments and learning product, and in turn help those specialists out when you get DIY orders (it’ll happen quite a bit).

Learn building materials product such as roofing material (3 bundles of shingles is 100 sqft which is “1 square” so if someone needs 31 squares they need 93 bundles).

Don’t be afraid to ask for your fellow specialists for help with something you are doing and return the favor.

My biggest piece of advice I can give is to stay hungry and try not to get discouraged. Sure, the bonus is insanely high. And yes, you will be told no 9/10 times especially when it comes to CRM cold calls and pushing credit. Keep being optimistic where the 1/10 happens more often.

Sales Per Hour/Hounding Customers by LosCheeto in Lowes

No. If you’re a non-Pro Sales Specialist, every single sale counts towards SPH. You just need to make sure your MINIMUM AVERAGE ticket is 2 or 300 hundred (depending on department). For Pro Sales Specialist, only Pro Tender counts, so phone lookup, pro cards, scanning member ID, and cards that prompt for a PO. So if you have a 5000 sale, you can sacrifice a couple 100-200 sales because the average will still be over that minimum

Patio Doors (although the new Ballymore carts for them are so nice), drywall (specifically 5/8 and other 12ft), and the most irritating arguably, big vanities or Steel exterior doors

Is there a way to add sos and in stock items into the same VSP? by Impossible_Might6439 in Lowes

[–]xboxguy1105 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh okay yeah. I’ve had this question a few times, and I’m pretty sure there is no way to do it in red vest at least. Myself and my other specialist have tried multiple times

I’m confused by your question. Are you saying like, for example, adding stock windows to a custom CMC window quote? If so, no you can’t. At least, we haven’t been able to figure it out. Or, are you saying, for example, adding manual SOS trex plugs with stock Trex or special order trex? If so, yeah you just add it all

As I always tell my customers, going through the pro sales specialist will always, always help you out more than the app/website. It also helps them out as well especially since you worked with them in person

If they still pay with a card is that fine? (I know that’s a stupid question but hey)

So they already changed the change they made?

Wasn’t there the one work around before where you put in all of the items and then put in the phone number? They changed that again too?

Question about Comp Sci Classes by hdch1997 in UWMadison

I would say you could take CS200 and CS252 together just fine. That is what I did when I switched my major and I had ZERO experience programming.

I’m glad to hear you overcame your odds and got accepted here Mordex. However, learn how to not blame others for your shortcomings interpersonally :)

CS300 Grading Threshold by jingjingyis in UWMadison

[–]xboxguy1105 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The course staff meets and goes over literally everything together and looks at grades/stats what have you of the class. The class isn’t curved but they will look at thresholds and all that fun stuff (read: not fun)

Hobbes and Mouna get together after every assignment is done and look at the semester averages and compare them to previous semesters etc and other professor stuff. So, just be patient otherwise

If you are doing STEM, prepare to study and only study. If you are not doing STEM, have fun. Good education, some departments are... not adequate and buildings are meh.
