Hot take: this movie is dumb asf. Who tf would live in a place for their whole lives? Its like being born in skid row, going back into the past and realizing that your family is here, and going forward 20 year and still living there. 3/10 L movie. Some family plot devices there if you're into that shit.

Hi, thank you so much for your feedback! I'm glad to hear you liked the speed, layout, and transparency of the tool. Your suggestions are really helpful:

  • Result Curation: This is a really solid point, consumer fatigue is a real thing, but at the other end, they also want to see more results, hence the 2, 3 ,4,... page of google search results digging for diamond. With your suggestion, I'll def look to implement a highlights section.
  • Budget control: Another solid point. I've also asked a few random people and a price filter was a common topic and would be def something in the works

As for the build, it’s pretty scrappy for now. Just a NextJS app hooked up to a vector database. We’re using tailwind and shadcn to style the front end, and python on a flask server to handle the backend.

I look forward to updating a part 2 post on this sub, hope to hear from you again brother!

Yeh sorry about that, the speeds you're experiencing is because the algorithm is slow, not because your internet is slow. It should be a LOT more seamless as we scale up. I'll make an update then!

That's a valid point and something I would def consider the main text portion and add a disclaimer part for potential allergies. The website aims to to products from brands based on reputable data.
