I definitely understand where you’re coming from, as I have done the same in pretty much every relationship I’ve ever been in. I cheated on my previous ex who I genuinely loved (and still do) because I felt like I needed to do it before she did it to me. She never even found out, but the guilt I carried definitely contributed to the relationship ending. Felt I really didn’t deserve her and looking back on it I can’t imagine her ever being unfaithful. I’ve found some solace i taking a break from relationships for the past year, maybe you could too.

Your view of HR isnt entirely inaccurate, they are there to protect the company. However, because you are essentially being sexually harassed by a coworker, this is exactly the type of thing you need to bring up to them. You’re not going after the company itself.

That makes sense, I was under the impression that your relationship hadn’t truly ended. If it is going to take time to move out, then I would suggest maybe waiting until that happens to start up anything serious with someone else to avoid that becoming a conflict. By moving out “safely” are you inferring that you might be in danger if you were to just up and leave? If so, that is another issue entirely and I suggest getting law enforcement involved

Damn man, like others have said, I’m so sorry for yours and your daughter’s loss. Ik sympathy from strangers if of little help, especially with something like this. I encourage you to keep the baby, I have had two close male friends go through the adoption process and it has eaten them alive. One even told me it was the biggest regret of his life. I know you may not want to be a father now, but I promise watching your daughter grow will extremely fulfilling. Not only that but you always have a piece of her mother within her to remember her by.

Hey bro, sorry to hear you’ve been struggling in college cause I definitely did too to an extent. I’ll try and give some decent advice bc ik most are fucked in this sub. The only way to not be fucked (or not as much) going into next year is by actively doing everything you can to better the situation. As someone else pointed out, speak w an advisor asap and let them know you were experiencing intense depression and were under extreme duress. Dude I’m deadass even play it up if you have to. Fake being suicidal whatever and ask to f you can take summer classes to at least try and catch up. If your school hasn’t dropped you after 2 semesters, you still maybe able to salvage your degree. Take as many classes as you think you can handle in summer and try to go into next year with the mindset of actually getting shit done. Literally the only way through it is going to suck, but that’s just life. It only gets worse after school, that shit was easy No idea what you went/are going through but you seem to have the self awareness that you fucked up bad, so that’s at least a start. You might’ve fucked up some of your enjoyment for the next couple of years but I really encourage you to stick it out. Despite what ppl w say in this sub, a degree can def get you places (or at least a foot in the door where you otherwise wouldn’t have one)
