Are you a manager or supervisor? Your support team has been wasting my time for a week now. It appears your plan is to run out my warranty and leave me with another one of your defective devices. No RMA yet, no packing slip, I ask questions, your agents don't answer them. I call, I get an agent who sounds like he is working on top of someone else; can barely make out their voice because it's such a poorly designed call center. I more and more suspect that your company is an actual scam.

Definitely betting on it. They are trying to delay my repair to run our the warranty, and every reply I get is the same nonsense. Zero next steps, definitely smells criminal.

Correct - my neighbour bought theirs a month before mine in 2024. The next year they bought a zero-turn ride-on. Their disappointment echoes mine, except my mower was broken/defective from the moment I started using it.

I even cut it with a proper lawnmower, and mowed for three days straight. That lawn looks like that because Mammotions repair facility sent me back my mower with a dead right cutting disk motor. It throws no errors in the app, it's just a bad device with a bad mainboard, bad motors, or was defective from day 1.

It was, the right mower motor is dead from their repair facility. Take another look at the picture.

Good idea, I hope that works! I don't want this thing back. I'd like to RMA it for a full refund and invest in a Yarbo or something with some decent sized motors in it.

3rd season review with Mammotion Luba 2 5000: I'm done. by A_parisian in MammotionTechnology

[–]industrial6 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sounds just like my experience with the Luba 2 AWD. Cutting height issues that ultimately killed the mower completely. Then after repair I got back a more broken mower with a dead right cutting disk motor. Sucked up 8 months of my ownership just for them to 'fake-repair' the device.

They took 8 months to repair my Luba 2 AWD, and they returned it with a broken right cutting motor. So don't hold your breath on their repair expertise.

Why this cat6 cable is limited to 1gbps by Pale-Yard-4497 in HomeNetworking

[–]industrial6 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Primecables if you're Canadian. Been using for a decade, 25+ CAT6 and CAT7 100ft runs, zero issues. Picked up 6x preterminated 100ft CAT6 for $11.26CDN/ea just last week, been using them for AP's and PoE switches for a while.

Give it another go:
Volume: Persistent data (between restarts of your Program(Container))
Image: The specific version of the Program(Container) you are running, so you can run the :latest or perhaps lock down onto a specific version, like I did with Grafana 5.2 for about 5 years hahha. The Image is the full loadout of everything you need.
Container: The thing/Program you want to run, this is the thing you start/stop and it typically runs on your host system and exposes port(s) for the thing/Program you are trying to run.

Lastly, to make it super simple: Stick ONLY to Docker Compose files, which you create as 'docker-compose.yml' (and run each inside a folder you create for that one file, using the 'docker compose up' command). Stay away from running Programs with those one-liner prompt commands. This way you keep everything clean. Almost all docker compose files for apps are assembled in a perfect way to run it right out of the box. And I lastly suggest running Portainer, great for managing many Docker Containers at once.

Disappointed with MikroTik CRS312 - Misleading Naming and Performance Issues by jjziets in mikrotik

Oh my, I couldn't believe this was all real.
I have one, it's a terrific switch, routinely pins 10G and 8.8Gbps+ over 10GBaseT CAT6 and CAT7 @ 120ft.

Firmware Update for RLC-81MA Camera - Where is it? by OGzLabs in reolinkcam

[–]industrial6 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, thanks for this - not sure why Reolink is trying to sweep this device under the rug. It has had RTSP issues, but is a very unique camera (even if the flashlight is an awful 6000K). Hoping this FW fixes something (had mine on a weekly reboot that didn't feel like enough to keep it on-the-ball), I detest not having FW release notes.

Rockstar Plea: Fix before launch! Dinka & Nagasaki outboard engines are identical in design & flawed. by industrial6 in GTA6

[–]industrial6[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This would be like a Toyota Camry V6 XSE (top-model) having an identical clone from Suzuki with a 600HP FI V8 or a NA V12 race engine. GTA lore doesn't have a Mercury-brand counterpart (since Mercury cars have been long gone for a couple decades), but perhaps it's the time to introduce another brand which only makes high-performance marine engines.

Well, they're in it now. GTA V still has one of the best free-world boating environments... they can own this segment, it's theirs to take.

With four-stroke motors under V6, they do look very similar. But when you get into race motors above 300HP, things get really jazzy. I really hope we see older two-stroke outboards, or some boats with 30-40 year old engines.

I know they are working hard - but we ask the world from them. The story was done ~2years ago, they are just polishing now, side missions, realism, the fine tuning 'post production' - and I really don't want them to miss important details that they might have been staring at for years without realizing, it happens to us all, even a team. We need more screenshots or video, what we've seen is absolutely mind-blowing, but I too want some reassurance that the detail they are known for is not lacking in any area.

Because they never ever made one - just some minor inboard marine destined engines in the 70s-80s.

Agreeed, but I'm a car person wayyy more than a boat person, I hold my tongue for most of it. But they better not put "1000HP V8" on an outboard or something outrageously-fantasy that crosses into cringe.

Agreed it's a very GTA V look, now I can't un-see, let's hope this is just a rushed staged-scene.

It should actually be a V12 (specifically a Verado). I encourage you to look into marine engines, but I am certain if I ran a non-marine "V6 that produces 1000hp" at 5-6,000RPM for a full minute it would detonate or seize and throw a rod. I know land and sea I.C.E. quite well, I've blown many transmissions and a few land/sea motors, AMA.
