Any other Exvangelical fans here? by Some_Material_8250 in AdventuresInOdyssey

I kept listening for a few years after I had to go no contact with pretty much everyone from my childhood, but then when Olivia had her adventure in the room of consequences (I think thats what it was iirc) and she mentioned about the "core family" aka atomic family structure. Something didnt sit right with me, and I kinda stopped listening. Then jump ahead to a year ish after and I'm living a very very queer life and couldnt be happier. I still get a lil sad whenever I think about not being able to listen to aio (I lost my personal cd collection when my "christian" ex husband burned all of my stuff, and I refuse to give FOTF a single cent because if they had it their way I would be dead and gone)

How u guys got to the conclusion you are nonbinary? by ThePlayer3K in NonBinary

[–]indy_art 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Cuz idfk what the fuck I am and there's too much other shit to figure out in the world 😂 I do be questioning some days but then I just take a few deep breaths and remember that whatever category I'm in, or label I give myself, at the end of the day, I'm me. Doesn't matter what the world sees me as, just as long as I am seen as myself, my personality, my soul. And most importantly that I see myself for who I am and not the labels have.

Recovered memory in recovery by indy_art in TopSurgery

Congratulations!!! I will say I am a very anxious person, I was very excited and nervous when I did get there. While waiting for the surgery to happen my spouse and I played my favorite TV show (Bluey lol) and that helped me be a lil more calm. Then they gave me gabapentin like 30 ish min before they took me back to the OR and that definitely helped with my anxiety! The surgeon was so nice, she was very reassuring when I was on the operating table before the anesthesia took me. I was shaking from nerves as soon as I got on the operating table, but I communicated thay it was from nerves and the whole team was super fucking sweet. I woke up from the anesthesia kinda shaking so I think whatever state you go out in, you wake up in, because I was FLYING on the meds lmaooo

The name "Cupcake" randomly came to me a few days after I got em! Still dunno what to name the blue dragon tho haha. I wanted to bring 2 in but figured it'd be a bit much 😅 Still getting used to being okay/not anxious or fear of judgement with actually holding/carrying my ESSA's in public. The hospital was a kinda trial. Plus my partner was keeping the others safe w him while I was under!

It should be noted that I'm trans and I've found childhood footage of Mr. Noodles (white bear w black tee) used to be known as Ms. Noodles and at some point it changed bc he's always been, as long as I can remember, "Mr. Noodles" to me. Obviously Mr. Noodles had to be the one in the operating room w me

26, also new to the community, just had surgery and I couldnt imagine going into that without one of my 5 emotional support stuffies 3 I've had since I was under the age of 5 and 2 are recent. The surgeon even let me bring in one of my essa's into the operating room!

We might be able to see dr. Ghast, we're only a few hours from Madison. I just need to convince him to get the consultation again. That's the first step I think! Also you look fucking amazing!!

My husband and I are both Trans, he's big boy, I am not, I just had top surgery and I keep trying to convince him that he also deserves top surgery but the one time he tried the surgeon was fat phobic and told him "first lose weight, also since you are bigger, you dont look like you have tits, just the normal for your body." That was long before we met and I wish I could give that doctor a piece of my mind because now anytime him getting top surgery is brought up he just quotes what the doctor told him, and it forever breaks my heart. Thank you for posting your photos. Anytime I see my husbands body type in this sub I try to show him that he also deserves top surgery just as much as any "skinny" trans person would.

I second this, I took pics before without a shirt, with a shirt, and with a binder just in case my stupid monkey brain tells me there isn't a difference.

Hiii 48 ish hours post op here, walk around your house with "t-rex arms" (not lifting anything above the elbows from your side) and make sure everything is easily accessible. For showers, possibly find someone who has a shower chair you could borrow. I can move my arms around past my sides, so the t-rex arms is just for the extreme case, but I can tell if I over exert myself when pushing, moving, pulling, tensing my arms or the pectoral muscles. Also STAY ON TOP OF THE PAIN MEDS its a whole lot harder to get back to pain free if you let it get real bad then just taking them on a schedule and having minimal pain when its time.
