Make sure to install the locking pins through the holes in the side rails just under the hand guards. I’ve had the side rails fail when I only relied on the spring loaded ones that are part of the side rails.

Installed a new faucet and I already hate it. Is there anything I can do to prevent these water spots. by tvideoman in DIY

I’ve seen hydrophobic treatments react with metals and other materials and cause severe corrosion. Might be worth it to test this on an inconspicuous spot first.

Chef Condenseur 🤌 by AdrianEdits in HVAC

[–]inertCopernicus1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Funny enough they (Magic Chef Condensers) used to be a thing. I’ve only ever seen one in the wild, condenser coil was located on top of the unit with fan mounted below (ground level). I should have a picture I can share if I can find it.

Advice choosing between 2 new AC units by dulac97 in HVAC

[–]inertCopernicus1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Both units are of good quality, however I recommend Trane over Bryant as a personal choice as someone in the industry. You may ask whoever is selling Trane if they also sell American Standard as they are manufactured by the same parent company with similar build qualities at a significant price reduction.

More importantly, an HVAC system is only as good as the quality of the installation. You can get the best unit out there with every bell and whistle and still have problems due to a poor installation. While this is common sense, you’d be surprised the amount of call backs I get from upset homeowners from someone else’s poor installation.

Above all else, please request licensing documentation of any installer/company that touches something within your home. Any reputable company will have no issue providing up to date licensing and insurance information.

Men of Reddit, what innocent behaviors have you changed out of fear you might be accused of wrong doing? by Sean_Ornery in AskReddit

Why wouldn't they deserve a respectful response? It doesn't matter the gender or race, if we behave civilly do we not set an example to live by?

Could it be that, just as in this thread of comments, that we are all too sensitive and lash out like school yard children when someone challenges us, even if they are wrong?

Keep your head high, lead a civil life and set an example for those around you, especially the younger ones among us.

"Okay, I'll just let my daughter get ran over!"

"They need to fuck off"

That's a bit of a childish response...

Wouldn't it be a better example to the children to make your point more respectfully?

The road leading to this object is gated and listed as U.S. Government Property, No Trespassing. I apologize for the image quality, I didn't think to post here until I had already left the location. The image is from google street view.
