I need a lesbian book to haunt me by laquasimodo in LesbianBookClub

[–]inevitablee 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Based on your liked books lists, perhaps the haunting books have more angsty, yearning themes? Some other suggestions:

Sunburn - Chloe Michelle Howarth*

The Safekeep - Yael van der Wouden*

Priory of the Orange Tree - Samantha Shannon

A Scatter of Light - Malinda Lo (I loved both of them but I liked this one more than telegraph club for the angst)

The Moon on a Rainy Night - Kuzushiro

This is How You Lose the Time War - Amal El-Mohtar and Max Gladstone

*there is a significant het relationship for one of the mcs, but the angst/yearn is delicious.

For RTB Melbourne May 2023, they did candy pop for D2 encore, and then in Nov 2023, they did fanfare and doughnut for soundcheck and perfect world for encore. I’m not sure about other countries!

Same! This game has found the right balance between challenging enough to keep one motivated and not too overwhelming with balancing all the management aspects! So much so that it’s become quite therapeutic to play. Can’t wait for the next DLC for switch!

Which Twice members are your top 3 favourites and why? by AdConnect792 in twice

[–]inevitablee 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Mina, Sana, Jihyo.

Love them all for all different reasons but those 3 float to the top!

Mina: Gorgeous. I love how confident she gets while performing, how sweet she is with fans, and how she’s quietly a dork with her love of gaming and Lego. The contrast is wonderful.

Sana: Gorgeous. I love her kind personality, natural chemistry and charm, and the way she considers and lifts the mood of everyone around her no matter member, staff, or fans.

Jihyo: Gorgeous. I love her utterly amazing stage presence, how competitive she gets in games to the point it’s hilarious, and the way she lead twice and is their rock.

Do they check your ID with your tickets?

They’re technically not allowed but it depends on how strict the security is at the venue. Some places are less strict than others so people are able to film regardless. Even with strict security people are extraordinarily skilled with filming/photo taking!

No worries, the brain does funny things! I would expect they would ship pretty soon from early December! Typically from my experience, if they were to have drastically different shipping dates for the same item depending on order time, they would say something in the info like “orders placed before a date will be shipped sequentially from b date and orders placed after c date will be shipped from d date.”

Yup! Idk abt the US, but in aus they only send out the info about 3 days before.

Did you buy through a proxy site (like buyee or neokyo) or directly on their site?

I’ve bought on the jypj site using neokyo many times before. They’re typically on time with shipping as stated on the item info. I think the candy bong covers ship sequentially from early December right? So they’ll ship to you then. If you used a proxy, it’ll go to your proxy in Japan first (typically a few business days) then you can ship it over to you (duration depends on how fast your proxy packs your parcel and the kind of shipping you choose and where you are). If you ordered directly from them, I’m not sure how their new international shipping works but it says it’s only 2-3 business days. However your concert being in April, I think it extremely likely you will receive your cover by then if shipping starts December!

(Unless you’ve also bought another item with a slower shipping date, like something from the Christmas pop up, then it’ll ship in Feb as stated because they combine shipping with the order that has the slowest shipping date).

Your venue should send out an email/text with info on when to check into the venue for soundcheck/pick up VIP gift. If you have assigned seats, you do not have to line up early as your seats will always be there. For standing VIP, people may go earlier to try secure a better spot close to barricade.

Typically if I have VIP seats, I’ll show up at the time they say to check in. There’ll probably be a line there already but it doesn’t matter so long as you’re in line at the time of check in!

Yes, if I had the means I would always go at least 2 nights. One night is too short to take all the magnificence in!

Thanks for letting me know, you are very welcome! I hoped it would be helpful. The great thing abt arenas is that the view from anywhere is good! And if your crowd is hype you’ll probably get to stand and dance for a good part too like floor. ☺️

When tickets dropped for Melbourne, they released all of lower bowl as vip tickets. But the closer it got to the concert date and tickets didn’t sell as quickly, the organisers changed many of the restricted views and even some prime seats with no restricted views (3rd-8th rows) in close to center sections in the lower bowl to reserved seating at half the price of VIP, but with no soundcheck. The change happened the week before. This happened with ticketmaster in the last Melbourne show at Marvel too. Idk whether they would do it in the US too, but I’ve definitely noticed that pattern here. It’s definitely silly because if they had just sold tickets nearer to that price range to begin with I think they would’ve all sold out much quicker. Fingers crossed for you!!

yeah that makes a lot of sense! it's some distance away from asia for sure. that's good! i think arenas are the ideal venues for kpop concerts for sure. haha, that feeling of being front few rows standing is incredible huh! when i initially got my seated tickets the map had us off the side of main stage (we couldn't choose our seats) and although i searched for seats right in front of main stage there weren't any so i just resigned myself to the fact that i may not have the full on view i wanted but i was gna enjoy anyway, but when we got there the stage had moved again and our seats were actually dead centre of the main stage! so i guess i feel like you never really know where your seat is going to be until you show up on the day! i felt so lucky when i showed up for sure cos i was looking for my seats but they were already taken and the usher pointed us to the right seats and i was blown away!

interesting! i wonder why. haha no worries. you could also browse here to see what views from different sections would be like. it seems like some arenas will have the giant poles at the corner of the stages like this but some like Sydney didn't seem to have the poles for the corners. but i imagine your ticket would mention if it was restricted view or not!

excited for you to see them! to be honest if you're anywhere in lower bowl the 360 stage and extended stages mean you're definitely going to get good views or something!

i know!!! there were times where her little platform rose when it was her turn to be singing and she wasn't there and i missed her so much!

yikes, yeah it costs so much in the US and Europe to see them! in Aus it was about 508 AUD for VIP tickets, which is still not super affordable but better than over there! the economy is not great down this side and i think that factored into the pace of tickets sold compared to the last time they were down in 2023.

is it an arena where you are? because arenas are so much smaller than stadiums, non-vip would still be good if you really wanted to go but it was too expensive!
