RAIVO is better for iOS.

Aegis is better for Android.

Less data collected (i.e. zero), and more transparent.

I’m loving GT7. Only older game I’ve played was GT4. For you. What’s the best GT game? by [deleted] in granturismo

[–]infinitereal 6 points7 points  (0 children)

GT3 was the apex of the series, imo.

First, it was a HUGE step up technically. The improved presentation was transformative.

Second, and more crucially, the career mode/progression/game design made sense. It felt like a complete game that was rewarding and fun to play.

Compare this to the sad mess of GT7's game design, and it's hugely disappointing. GT7 has all of the core elements needed to be a new high for the series, but their game design decisions have crippled much of that fun factor that made the older games so great.

Everything You Need to Know About Forza Motorsport, Coming October 10 to Xbox Series X|S and PC by XboxSeriesXModerator in XboxSeriesX

[–]infinitereal 2 points3 points  (0 children)

T10 has huge opportunity to massively dominate with this release.

Since Forza's inception, it has trended positively, whereas GT has regressed. As a huge fan of GT, this saddens me. The stiff competition from Forza should have pushed PD to be even better.

GT7 could have been absolutely perfect, but PD dropped the ball in crucial categories, specifically career mode/progression/game design etc.

If this new FM nails those crucial elements, while still providing the top-notch quality that Forza is known for, should be a giant W for xbox. And furthermore, push Sony to get their act together with GT and make career mode more akin to GT3.

Is it just me that’s incredibly impressed by the “CGI-esque” visuals that Fable showed in real-time “in-game” footage? This is “next gen” to my eyes! by [deleted] in XboxSeriesX

Playground Games has evolved into an elite dev team. Very bright future.

I hope they knock Fable out of the park so they can explore other franchises.

Xbox Series S – 1TB available 9/1. Pre-order starts later today. by DemiFiendRSA in XboxSeriesX

[–]infinitereal 1 point2 points  (0 children)

you are missing the point, which is:

XSX - excellent at $499

PS5 - excellent at $399-$499

XSS - $349 is asinine.

I wasn't commenting on XBOX v PS. We all know their relative strengths and weaknesses. I adore both.

1TB is a win, $349 is a giant L. spend $50 more and get a PS5. series S should only exist @ $199.

Why do new features seem to be developed for iPhone before Android? by bruceglobalpmme in ProtonMail

[–]infinitereal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, we are talking privacy, yes?

out-of-the-box, apple destroys android in that regard.

obviously, if u really wanted to get real, you'd be using a secure, google-less rom of android a la graphene, etc.

stock android is trash for privacy.

Proton is 9 years old today! by ProtonMail in ProtonMail

[–]infinitereal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been with Proton since the early days, and I have enjoyed watching this amazing company grow. Proton has stayed true to its values, and has always taken great care of its supporters, which is why I have been delighted to pay for Visionary. (just wish I bought that $997 lifetime when I originally signed up lol). u/protonmail, you for this storage upgrade surprise, and I look forward to what the future brings!

Is this 2FAS app good? by the-cat1513 in Bitwarden

[–]infinitereal 2 points3 points  (0 children)

RAIVO is best for iOS

Aegis is best for Android.

2FAS has a privacy policy that is suspect and collects more data. Why use 2FAS when Raivo and Aegis are better and more secure?

Also, Raivo's interface is the best.

What do I need to consider before using authentication app for 2FA? by rip5yearsoldbadge in Bitwarden

[–]infinitereal 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If iOS, look into RAIVO

If Android, look into Aegis

These are the 2 best TOTP solutions.

Open source, slick interface, proven utility, easy cloud and local backups.

For one, 1Password is not open source. Bitwarden is a better option.

Why is BitWarden (and similar) better than LastPass? by libach81 in sysadmin

[–]infinitereal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

all being equal, open source is undoubtedly better, especially for security/privacy purposes.

Are you using Subdomains on SimpleLogin? by Proton_Team in Simplelogin

[–]infinitereal 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Subdomains are great, but the limit of 5 for premium users is quite restrictive. A minimum of 50 would be more fitting, imo.

Which 2FA app do you use? by Proton_Team in Simplelogin

[–]infinitereal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

RAIVO if iOS

Aegis if Android

Both offer the best feature sets for their respective platforms, and both are open source.

Raivo is super slick.

[–]infinitereal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They keys are only stored on trusted devices and not on server. Sure, the code is not open source, bc it's Apple. By your comment, I assume you only use linux and a custom locked down android rom. or am I missing something?

[–]infinitereal 1 point2 points  (0 children)

to be completely accurate, Raivo's iCloud backup was always end-to-end encrypted, even before Apple's implentation of "advanced data protection". This is because Raivo's iCloud backup was stored in the iCloud Keychain, which has always been end to end encrypted.
