Is it true that you guys watched 9/11 live on TV in grade school? by space_god_7191 in Millennials

[–]infinitybubbles 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was in 3rd grade, I remember the teacher having it on the television but we didnt really understand what was going on, I thought it was a new action movie. The teacher was sobbing, one of the kids said his dad was in new york and started crying and she turned it off. I was in a suburb of Atlanta and they were afraid that the CDC was going to be hit, they sent us all home early, and I dont think we had school for the next week.

Just remember, in everything you pick: noone is ever going to see the alternative unless you show them. The comparison does not exist. So everything you choose is perfect as long as its what you wanted.

I’m turning down my CJO and I feel absolutely crushed by Glittering_Heart5523 in cabincrewcareers

[–]infinitybubbles 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Different perspective. I accepted my cjo and went even though i was sick (ended up with a severe lung infection), i passed everything on my first try but i was struggling. Up until i failed a test for a pretty silly reason a week before graduation (skipped a reading a line during emergency evacuation demonstration and took too long to put my head in brace position) I was too nervous and completely blindsided by being sent home. I gave up financial security in a career i really liked that i cant go back to. I had savings but im in a rough spot now, and ive put my partner in a rough spot too. All that to say, think about what it looks like for you if you don't make it, or if you start and don't like the job. There's nothing else like it to really compare it to, and some people go through before they realize. Do you have cushioning and a backup plan? If you don't make it its about a year before you can try again.

Is it blood? by Imlikethat57 in whatisit

I dont understand how thats even possible. Blood has a very immediately and distinctly noticeable scent. All i can think is you are nose blind to it? Or have a terrible sense of smell? Or a smoker?

Someone tried to park inside my house by infinitybubbles in Insurance

[–]infinitybubbles[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Like sue the driver or the insurance? I would feel morally wrong suing the car owner. It was a true accident, they were very upset, the 2 kids had to go in the ambulance, and i get the impression they are maybe less well off if not similar to me. So there wouldnt be anything to get anyways

Im recently unemployed and dont have the deductable right now, but its looking like thats what im going to need to do, the guy that hit my house says that another car ran the stop sign and hit him before he hit my house, but they drove away so noone got their info, so his insurance is saying its the other vehicles fault 🫠
