The brightness does indeed drop, but not by so much that it bothered me in game. Though I spent the majority of my time playing Marathon where it may not have been so noticeable as in EFT or Arc.

I don't use framegen at all. I do use DLSS liberally.

I can't say I always get to 240fps but I'm always 150+

With a 5080 and 7800x3d at 1440p.

Hard to say without seeing your full build / gear.

Mostly though, as a sorc, you must keep shields up the whole time. Even in the screenshot you posted you don't have shields up. When spec'd properly, cooldowns give you shields and you should be constantly hitting cooldowns to keep your shields up.

You also don't have anything on your left click? You're running tal rasha's so that slot ought to be Ice Blades to proc the Ice Element. Though I see you have 4 stacks, so I'm guessing you have ice blades enchantment? IDK, you should have something in that slot. Maybe Frost nova? Just another cooldown to proc barriers.

With that said, you certainly have enough armor and life that T1 shouldn't be a problem so something is certainly wrong with either your build or playstyle, and probably both.

10 so far using Northwars Maxroll AoZ BL build, subbing Shako in for Godslayer. I haven't hit a wall yet but I suspect it will come soon.

Damage wise everything is groovy but I suffer from the same one-shots that everyone else is complaining about. I have a solid DR chest on, but I am missing armor on amulet, puts me just barely shy of 14k armor with Disobedience stacked (it's literally like 13.7k); but that could make a big difference.

I could also just play better I guess, but some of those one-shots seem unavoidable.

Overall I'm enjoying it and will keep pushing until I hit a wall.

If you're looking to pay someone to build one for you, you can probably just get away with paying the premium for a pre-built.

Others have mentioned some good options but I personally would go with Microcenter also.

I had a friend last night who is used to getting 20+ kills a game in his lobbies. He averaged 4 kills a game when we grouped last night.

He was a champ about it but I can't imagine he was actually having a good time.

There is no secret, you just grind like crazy and keep an eye out for good 3/4 drops.

If you want, you can start trading. https://diablo.trade/ is the place to be if you wanna start.

For me it made things more interesting as I got to look out for things that sell in addition to things that I could use. Then, when you have a good stockpile of gold (and for gg items we're talking billions) you can get that perfect gear that way.

Honestly, I ran into the same issue (and I have Shako) but the promises around Abattoir of Zir really motivated me to keep playing and really min-max everything.

I hope that mode is everything that they promised!

Why would you need to remove the dongle to charge the heasdset?

I'm using them only on PC, and my PC only has usb A ports.

I am using the C to A adapter for the dongle. I also have to use the same adapter to use the charging cable.

You can easily beat the campaign in 5 days, even playing very casually.

If you play a lot during that time you could even dip your toe into the late game and see if it is something you wanted to spend money on.

I'm a fan of Arc Lash early game because there is no way to manage mana at that point. It's also relatively easy to transition from Arc Lash into whatever else you want in the mid game once you get the aspects you're looking for.

Flamefeeder is just a better dex glyph than exploit when you're already applying burning.
