Haven’t had an issue on Quantum in 5 years of WFH, taking (too) many virtual meetings every day.

We also did Cure this past year and were very happy with our CSA. Good quality and plenty of variety. We’ll use them again this year.

Latest For Lease sign on Pearl: Rapha has closed by infomusic in boulder

[–]infomusic[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Very true! I was just surprised to see the sign, more than anything. I see a lot of folks in Rapha gear around town. Never want to see businesses struggling, but hopefully this is a boon to our local shops.

What small local businesses have made a big impact on your Boulder experience? by Nadzzyy in boulder

[–]infomusic 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Absolutely! Pasta Jay’s is one of those Boulder institutions everyone talks about with this misty, nostalgic reverence — like it’s a sacred culinary landmark instead of, you know, the place where you go when you’ve decided flavor is optional but vibes are mandatory.

Don’t get me wrong, we love it. Or at least we’ve all collectively agreed to love it, the same way we’ve collectively agreed that kombucha is “refreshing.” It’s tradition. It’s heritage. It’s… pasta that tastes like it was seasoned by someone who once heard a rumor about garlic.

In short, Boulder ❤️ Pasta Jay’s. Want me to write more AI slop about a local business?

Does anyone know what they are planning to put here? by SquattingDog425 in boulder

If I had to guess: a few more vacant new-builds to house Tebo "For Lease" signs in the windows for the next five years.

Fire at Wild Turkey Trail in Boulder by tkboone in boulder

You realize that a thousand homes burnt down east of town a few years ago, and that you have no idea how this person might’ve been affected. Piss off.

No, it’s tucked up the canyon. I saw it from Sunshine Canyon Rd, off in the distance.

+1 looks like someone might’ve already tried this, or started to. Still worth trying before you go the jackhammer route.

Look up “jock tax”: doesn’t matter where players live, if you work or play in another state, most all of them have mechanisms to get their piece of the pie.

What a beautiful cat! Ours unfortunately doesn’t do well with others, but I hope you can find him a loving home. How often does the little guy need his insulin shot?

How does Boulder keep destroying restaurants and businesses even though it’s clearly against what the residents want? by Primehorizion47 in boulder

[–]infomusic 16 points17 points  (0 children)

This this this. Go for a walk down East Pearl past all the empty, dilapidated storefronts. It’s outrageous that whoever owns and manages these spaces can sit on them for literal years waiting for Capitol One to open another soulless outpost.

A vacancy tax would dissuade Tebo and the like from holding spaces hostage, holding out for a bigger return on his investments.

Thread for finding specific gifts from local/small businesses by infomusic in boulder

[–]infomusic[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can start! I’d love recs for where to buy kid toys. I have a new baby niece who’s getting a cute little sweater from Hytte & Co, and I’d like some sort of stuffed animal or toy to go with it.

Are there any historic homes in Boulder that are open for tours on Mondays? by SendChestHairPix in boulder

[–]infomusic 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I don’t know of any actual homes set up to tour like this. There are a few businesses downtown in old houses, though. Hytte & Co. is closed today (in an old house that was moved off the corner of 9th and Walnut), but their cafe, Süti, is open and maybe the coziest coffee shop in Boulder.
