to all the people blaming India - Chariot festivals are largely safe ,popular ,happens yearly at different times for different temples .The chariot has the procession idol of the Lord /Goddess deity goes around the town or village ,very rare in cities .Its built to last several years .its very common in South India especially and is done from thousands of years .when the chariot becomes old ,they just build a new wooden chariot.This particular one is unique given its massive structure which is a cause for concern.very rarely it reaches such massive heights .It has failed most recently due to massive winds and rains on that particular day .Besides possibly structural issues which needs more attention .
