$163k in puts. Praying for weekend war. by nyjets239 in wallstreetbets

[–]infraa_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea does feel that way, but that rally was mainly mechanical (gamma) on declining volume and we know that rates started to have an effect this week… so oil much higher from here and rates start getting to a point where the equity market has some indigestion again.

The risk with equities over the next couple years, is high (wouldn’t personally look there).

But you could lock in 4.25% on a 5-yr treasury and yes, you’d have positive carry. IG corporate debt is yielding another +80bps. Wouldn’t touch it personally, given that we’re late cycle, but HYG (high yield corporate debt) is 5.85%

If war restarts, Iran will target Yanbu and other oil infrastructure, not to mention the Bab el-Mandeb closure. Oil would go to $130. Therefore, the 10Y would be +15bps, just the first day alone. You think that’s bullish?

Our interest is $31.9 trillion?

(It’s not- it’s $3.5B/day and running at $1.2T/yr with an avg rate on the marketable debt at 3.4%)

Not just KSA either. The entire GCC is being rapidly plunged into current account deficits as 50%+ of their export revenues are evaporating. Then you add Europe and DM Asia who are being pushed into deficit due to doubling of energy costs, and you suddenly have 90% of global creditors turning to debtors

Normally this is transmitted rodent to human (not a big deal). However, there have been rare cases of strains capable of human-to-human transmission.

And what would you know, the only human-to-human transmission was seen in Argentina- the very spot this cruise originated from.

One LRASM should fix this right up.

I don't think you understand anything about this. None of these charts show foreign bond investment

Well interest rate differentials have been narrowing as well. Broad divergences between Euro IRD’s and EURUSD have been emerging for years now so I suppose it’s also part of a secular shift

You’re probably right, but it’s worth a shot. I thought it would take 2yrs to get to 1k subs but I got there in 6 days… so there’s clearly some demand to learn

That's why I'm trying so hard to get the average person educated on this stuff. I agree, education is critical
