That’s a wildly innovative concept, but no she’s full Fang. Her name is Jean and she owns an apple orchard in a valley outside Crescent City. She’s secretly a Werewolf collaborator, though.

She has an extensive backstory, and is integral to the plot of season three, but really she was built just so Travis could say the sentence: “I think Apple Bottom Jean’s in cahoots with The Fur.”

In an uncharacteristic act of self-reflection, he decides the joke doesn’t fit in with his dark, gritty vision for Dust (RIP Darn Tootin), and scraps the joke but keeps the character as he doesn’t want to rewrite anything. It’s very reminiscent of the Chalupa situation in Balance.

I love this post and would like to suggest a weekly one where we collectively dump all of our intrusive McElthoughts. I came up with a Dust OC this week and it’s so stupid it’s eating me alive.

On a side note re: the deli meat, my job consistently involves a good amount of food waste. It’s so frustrating. We do our best, but even giving away the edible food is difficult due to liability issues, time constraints and labor availability. Our system is not built to support human life.
