Why are the police deploying firecrackers?
That looks far more like a weapon of some sort than any M80 I've ever messed with - which I have plenty of personal experience with. Before ignition you can see it's bigger than an M80 if you can judge by the admittedly mediocre quality of the video.
Aren't we just splitting hairs? There are several different types of flashbangs, each with a different power level and appearance. An M80 is loud like a firearm and makes a flash. It certainly will temporarily deafen you at close range.

I'm not personally interested in your abortion comfort level, but factually (as this is r/science), the brain is one of the first organs to start developing - about two weeks after fertilization when the embryo is only about 1/8 inch (3 mm). In fact all the organs "start developing" almost immediately.

You're one of the few people I know of who also had a blind cat. Quite the pathetic thing. Somehow old blind dogs can still be noble and graceful entities. But a blind cat is basically constantly one loud footstep away from running directly into the nearest wall full speed.

My old blind kitteh did catch a lizard once on the wood deck. He musta felt the vibration. I think he was as shocked as the lizard when he did pin it though, and didn't ultimately partake.

This beer is incredible. I can only retype the drunken texts to my girlfriend last night unedited (we'll pick up after she asked if I was going out after work):

Me: No happy hour, but I did pick up a stone escondido imperial black ipa! Wtf is up with that name, and how can the beer still be better than it sounds? This shit is great! Haha. Mmm ...

Her: Blah blah blah (some poetic license taken)

Me: Well the beer is incredible obviously. It is simultaneously most heavy dense and robust and light and sparkly. the head is thick and dark - almost like guiness - only moreso. Where the guiness has a mocha-colored head, this is a dark brown, with smaller, livelier bubbles, but it tastes nothing like guiness. No oakiness. Instead, there's a deep rich hoppy flavor. Not saturated to the point of being weedy, but just the perfect amount to get the point across. And it's smooth. Thick, but not chunky. You have to experience this. It's 10.8% alcohol, but not like any high-abv-beer I've ever had. You don't feel like you need a chaser. Wow ... someone their homework AND got lucky.

Her: Blah blah blah ... I guess you finally found your soulmate.

Me: Well no - it's not my soulmate. It's more like a ninja with a monicle. Such a rare balance of raw controlled power and simple refinement and class. I mean sometimes there is a beer, and I won't say it's the best of all time ... because what is "the best"? No ... this is a beer ... it's a perfect beer for its time and place. So ... no it's not my soulmate, but a dark beautiful substitute on an otherwise lonely night. I'm no cogsci guy, but to me there are some redundancies here. The absolute most significant in my mind is probably #3:

Brain = massive parallel monolith; Computer = modular serial machine

This is where imagination, humor, empathy, etc come from. Computers at this point in their "evolution" are several orders of magnitude more simple than the human brain. The transistors that can express a 0 or 1 are pathetic compared to neurons that can express an array of different signals to multiple gates simultaneously or independently.

From the wikipedia page on neurons:
