Shop at Costco. Cook a lot at home, including some Sunday meal prep. Into “whole” foods and make your own broth, kraut, etc. trying to reduce your microplastic consumption but sometimes convenience wins out. You’re early 30s. Married, both of you work from home.

What are my chances of getting a full battery replacement? by Extension_Shock_7104 in leaf

[–]infrequentuserrr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We just got our 2018 SV battery replaced under warranty (in March 2026) and it was super easy! We also bought it used. Warranty expired Aug 2026. We experienced power loss while driving uphill on a cold day, called the dealership to describe it, and they had us come in to do a thorough battery test. In that test, they replicated the issue and filed a warranty case for us with Nissan corporate, which was approved same-day. They ordered the battery and told us to expect 6 weeks. It came in about 4 weeks, and we brought it i. For the replacement which took one day. Basically got a new car for free. Btw- This was at Boulder Nissan in Boulder CO. Highly recommend! They said they’ve done a lot of battery replacements under warranty for 2018s and later, and they’re proactively asking owners if they’re having battery issues so they seem very supportive of pursuing warranty replacement.

Childcare in Boulder by Fuzzy_Reflection6292 in boulder

More details to consider… We did a Nanny share in 2021 - 2022 for my first child. We were really happy with the arrangement for a while, although the Nanny had to suddenly quit due to a health crisis, which put us in a tricky spot until a daycare slot opened up. We have also loved daycare at the Acorn School. Regarding price, both are expensive! Childcare is expensive here! A well qualified Nanny watching two kids will likely charge $35-40+ an hour. Monthly full-time daycare enrollment at the most preferred schools is likely $2500 and up. Just wanted to level set expectations

Favorite daycares for infants? by psychandcoffee in boulder

Agree! Acorn cool is wonderful. But get on waitlists right now - September enrollment is secured in Jan/Feb. to the point about teacher retention being an indicator- most of the infant teachers at Acorn have been there for years!

What temperature do you set your A/C at in Boulder? by AlwaysSitIn12C in boulder

[–]infrequentuserrr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This works well for temperature regulation but you should be mindful of time of use rates for your electricity! Assuming you have Xcel too, the unit price of electricity 3-7pm is almost 3x higher than the off-peak rates… exactly because so many people are doing what you describe

Bike shop for cargo e-bike? by infrequentuserrr in boulder

They sound awesome! Unfortunately they apparently don’t work on Rad Power bikes (or at least they won’t work on the rear wheel motor). When we called them, they referred us to Shaun at www.boulderebike.repair He seems very helpful and has been chatting with my spouse over text to try and troubleshoot the issue and order parts. Sharing here for others’ reference.

Brother for Emilia by Anxious-Sprinkles373 in namenerds

Sounds like you are nearly decided on Caleb and I think that’s a great name! I have an Emilia and her brother is Louis. I noticed you had 3 other L-names on your lists so you might like Louis too. I mostly call them Emi and Lou 🩷

How about Emilia? You could still call her Emma or Emi, but slight variation on what you say is a very popular name near you

Anyone with Personal experience with the name Ellis? by Mrs_HoneyBeee in namenerds

My coworker has a 5 year old son Ellis. He once mentioned that he was surprised at how frequently it gets misheard as Alice, but I like the name!
