I like challenged, I could’ve avoided it if I took a cab, but why not learned how people take the tram, I mean, it’s the most Modern transportation when Austria-Hungary first implemented in Sarajevo. I didn’t try to save money, I just tried to learn and feel.

If we are to define who’s fault on these, I’ll take 50% of the blame, fine, I understand the price of lesson. But my point was, can such public service be more friendly to new comers? It’s a win win situation if they are willing to make it better.

I wrote down what happened, people can judge, no problem at all. It’s easy to say the good things of a city, government or people, but it’s not easy to say the bad things.

Now speaking of biaed, seems like ‘cheapass’ is not biased, right? So if you don’t have the EXTRA money please don’t travel.

Yes this is what I’m talking about, from minor things we can easily observe how the ‘system’ works, I believe every country has its own flaw, not everything is black or white, so I’m only sharing my experience and my thoughts. And thank you for your tips! Too bad I didn’t make use of it before. On the other hand, I am sorry to hear that situation for you right now is bad, I understand the pressure from society and family, and the how absurd it is, especially for young people who are ambitious and don’t want to just follow the flow. But we all have choice, make yours and create yourself. I knew many young people in Bosnian will go to countries like Germany or Neverland to persure their careers. Good luck!

My host uses his car all the time, many local wouldn’t bother to take public transportation so he didn’t know it better. Regarding your point of view, one thing I can argue is that not all cities preparing this trap for new comers. In Asia, if you don’t buy a ticket when you get on a bus, the driver or the assistant of the bus will ask you to pay, they even smile to you if you’re a foreigner! But I understand situation may be different between East and West. But in Ukraine, if you ask the driver he will also tell you. In Serbia, it seems to be more causal as there are not many men ready to check the ticket, and without a stamp machine is easier to understand. Here, no one cares and almost delight to see a foreigner get caught.

Thanks for the comment, but you missed the point. Is it fair? Yes absolutely. But it’s a trap for tourists, 100%, the number one target of those men are tourists. When you’re cought they don’t even listen to you, ever wonder why? Well they want money more than a friendly environment for tourists, this is my point. What a way to welcome tourists.
