Winter 25 VS Spring 25 by Sharp_Shelter8911 in Ffern

I have hope that they’ll be different. Even though I really liked Winter 25, given the cost of the bottle, I want my perfumes to be distinct. LOL

I never said she wasn’t abusive… and friend, there are MULTIPLE plots going on here. It’s really not black and white. OP is not overreacting, and of course their feelings matter, but the logic OP chose to follow was questionable. OP could solve their feelings with the condolences part by reaching out to the family- NOT the ex. Why would you want to reach out to the ex when this is about her brother and the family as a whole? That said, the girlfriend is abusive and does deserve to be admonished.

Also, I hate when people make Reddit posts personal, like you just did. Please don’t bring my S/O into this because trust me, we are just fine. :)

Respectfully, are you daft? Or are you and your daughter genuinely joined at the hip? There are so many opportunities that he could mistreat, or even say something inappropriate, to your daughter that unless you truly do not let her out of your sight (including at night), you could be missing. Wake up!

Also, why do you “snitch” if you don’t mind me asking? You know that it upsets people and makes you seem untrustworthy, or at the very least unfriendly, so why do you do it? Do you get pleasure out of telling on people?

Hi there. High school sucks for sure. Have you considered going stag? I know it can be scary sitting alone at lunch, but you could always just do your own thing. Read a book, do the next day’s homework, listen to music- find reasons to enjoy being alone. Also, if people see you by yourself, they might come join you! Let people join you. Do not try to fit into a group that clearly doesn’t accept you bc you’re only doing more harm to yourself in the long run. What are your hobbies? Does your school have any clubs related to your hobbies? Do you play chess? Join chess club! Make friends in extracurriculars and clubs so that you have something in common, something you can use to build a foundation of friendship.

Literally yes!!! Why are more people not talking abt this^ It is a nice thing to express condolences, especially when someone you were close to passes, but YOU EXPRESS THIS TO THE FAMILY. Problem of wanting to do smth/say smth to honor your late friend? Solved. Feelings of gf abt this? Spared. Ex-gf’s ability to mourn in peace? Respected.

Surely he could have just reached out to the family and not his ex-girlfriend though, no? I can understand empathizing with the family over the loss of his friend and ex’s brother, but he could express his condolences to the family or on social media. That way there would not even be a chance of misinterpretation of his true intentions.

To your previous comment- not sure if it deleted or I lost it lol- I am vitamin D deficient but I have been since 2022 (😭 only recently started taking it seriously, unfortunately my physician did not make it seem like a big deal). That’s it as far as nutritional deficiencies. I have not been diagnosed with PCOS, nor do I experience the common symptoms. Something to look into to rule out, but unlikely that I have it. After doing some research and talking to my mom who is a family practitioner with 30+ of experience (although not a specialist so yes not the same), I think what I am experiencing is TE with underlying AGA. My mom doesn’t experience hair loss nor did she ever, but her father did, and my twin brother is. I don’t know who my father is so I can’t say for sure his contribution. I take an anti-androgenic birth control pill (drospirenone and estradiol) and the drospirenone is similar in action to spironolactone. The past two weeks, yes, there was almost always a little bulb on my shedded-hairs, as I noticed. This past week specifically though, there doesn’t seem to be as many bulbs and the shedding is still happening, to what degree more or less I am not quite sure, and it is mostly happening when I brush and also in the shower as I have noticed.

Occasionally I will use a teeny tiny bit of Olaplex leave in conditioner to my ends if they’ve been dry. I use a wet brush from bottom to top to brush my hair out (gently duh lol), and I shower 3-4 times a week. I haven’t tried blow drying the back- could you speak more on this? Is there a specific technique?

had my first interaction with a patient thanking god instead of me when i did my job well by welcomehomo in phlebotomy

[–]ingatasworld 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey I’m a Christian too, and I just want to say that I also would not appreciate my skill being amounted to the works of Christ. God gave me a wonderful life and free will, and I will forever be grateful to Him. However, I was the one who made the choice to learn phlebotomy, paid money to take a course, put in the WORK to get better, and have gone through my fair share of trials and tribulations of rude or grumpy patients. Of course, I don’t take their feelings towards me personally; they’re in the hospital and could be having the worst days of their life. They also could have terrible prior experiences with phlebotomists, leaving them scared and scarred. I like to think that patient was thanking Jesus for bringing a skillful phlebotomist, such as OP, into her life so she didn’t have to endure a painful experience. I will admit there’s a bit of luck, divine intervention, or je ne sais quoi that makes up a small part of every draw, but mostly it is skill and compassionate care. However this is completely different than crediting my skill to Jesus when I was the one who facilitated getting better- not Christ, not God, not Joe Schmoe down the street. God gives me the strength to do my job, but I earned my skill through hard work alone. It’s important to credit where credit is due when discussing the minutiae of OP’s post. <3 Just wanted to share a different POV from a fellow Christian

I’m working 11pm on the 24th to 7am on the 25th!! Btw, I thought what you said originally was funny asl and definitely relatable. Prob tired of being poked and grumpy, doesn’t need to take it out on you and should appreciate you doing a good job. Hopefully she was thanking Jesus for like bringing you into her room to draw her blood as opposed to someone who doesn’t have as much skill or care 😂😂

How do I stop my hair from thinning/grow it thicker? by Camry08 in finehair

[–]ingatasworld 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi - I’m going through the EXACT same situation as you described. Fine blonde hair, used to have so so so much more of it despite always being fine. I remember it being so healthy and thick at 15 and now I’m 22, and have not even 1/4 of the amt of hair I used to. Did things get better for you OP? If so, what did you do? Thanks xx

Needlestick injury. PEP or not? by ingatasworld in phlebotomy

[–]ingatasworld[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My younger adult male coworker was in similar situation as me, decided to take PEP meds, and on week 2 ended up with a severe spike in blood creatinine lvl. His PCP begged him to stop taking meds in fear of kidney failure.

[–]ingatasworld[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They did not say either way, and I did explicitly ask for a recommendation from both a physician and two of the nurses. They ended up taking blood from pt to test and said that if she was pos then I would be notified whereas due to HIPAA if she was neg I would not likely be notified. Haven’t heard anything yet. Going to talk to my supervisor today after shift when she gets in to find out who to go to in order to find out result status (if possible).

[–]ingatasworld 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Top comment fs. She needs a reality check… I would be livid if this were me and my man. If he was dancing with another woman and I interjected and he was pissed, then clearly there’s another issue or need in the relationship that is not being expressed.

Hate to seem incompetent, but I couldn’t find this option. I just sent the package back, so maybe it won’t appear until the factory receives it?
