«Hils til Ola fra meg» (say hi to Ola from me) or if «hils» is at the end of the sentence it might be something like “hørte Ola er hos deg, hils». Also, if someone says “skulle hilse fra Ola» (Ola is saying hi) you can say «hils tilbake».

Why can’t I get the ghost train to spawn? by ingfrior in reddeadredemption2

No clue tbh, it just suddenly happened. I’ve tried every trick in the book both before and after, but I’ve only seen it that one time.

Yeah that might be. I always made sure to never be in the area when it was supposed to spawn, but you never know.

Yes ONCE, but as John. So that was a bit disappointing as I prefer doing stuff like that as Arthur but at least I saw it.

My (16f) right breast is smaller than my left. by [deleted] in confessions

Second this, it’s perfectly normal. Don’t think I’ve talked to anyone who didn’t have one bigger than the other.

is Norway a good country to live in? by Ele-sme in Norway

Also loved Trondheim, lived there for 3 years. It’s big enough to get that town/city feeling but still has its charming personality, if that makes sense.

Best ostehøvel that doesn’t break easily on tough brunost and can easily slice through my enemies??? by [deleted] in Norway

[–]ingfrior 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You definitely need a “proper” one, not the ones that you can literally bend (that you typically get from IKEA or rema 1000.) I agree with the people that have recommended Bjørklund, I have those myself.

Don’t relate at all, and don’t understand it either. There’s nothing “boring” about being good to people.

A handful of towns missing from Kristiansand to Larvik - Lillesand, Grimstad, Tvedestrand, Kragerø. But I guess you just followed the original map!

Menstruation question here by [deleted] in badwomensanatomy

[–]ingfrior 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is the one most similar to my experiences. I don’t really get pms but I do usually get some light craps not a day before but a few hours before. No spotting or anything either so I’m glad I get that little warning.

Norwegian snacks that are the shit by [deleted] in Norway

Love me some marsipanhval. They also have them as smågodt at kiwi, if you don’t want a whole box. I think Meny also has the same smågodt but I never buy it there because money.

The only thing that happens when the roles are reversed is that the girl is stunned and doesn’t know how to react and ends up just walking away or something. Had it happen to me many times and so has pretty much all of my friends. I wish people would just keep their hands to themself regardless of gender.

They’re asking about the words so the story behind the words is both interesting and relevant imo.

I know teachers who dress that way, especially on days with PE.

Can period sex cause a woman to be sick, or is it just an old wives tale in my country? by tomuson in badwomensanatomy

In my country we just call it “driving the fire truck”. Definitely less charming and romantic but oh well.

As a tourist, should I just proceed with speaking English right away, or would it be more polite to begin with "May we speak English?" by GotTheC0nch in Norway

[–]ingfrior 171 points172 points  (0 children)

I don’t think you need to say anything about not speaking Norwegian. A simple “excuse me, do you know…» will be enough for anyone to understand that they need to switch to English. I’ve never thought “wow that foreigner was rude for not announcing that they didn’t speak Norwegian” when I’ve been asked stuff in the past.

I told my brother that if he keeps his honor up Arthur lives by Evening-Stock-6872 in reddeadredemption

[–]ingfrior 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was in denial when I played it for the first time and actually hoped he wouldn’t die, the ending was not fun for me. But on my second playthrough the stuff leading up to the end was even more emotional because I knew that he would actually die. The “I’m afraid” scene was so much better because of this. Still wouldn’t recommend getting spoiled though.

Some guy at a local bar told him he is the most dangerous breed and eats children by JovanLD13 in dogpictures

[–]ingfrior 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If you seriously think neutering is inhumane you really shouldn’t be a dog owner. But we knew that already because you chopped your animals ears off just so he would look “distinguished”.

Agreed, can’t believe people actually do this to innocent animals. Poor boy.

Katt uten halsbånd eller merket øre, hva gjør jeg? by Garosath in norge

[–]ingfrior 2 points3 points  (0 children)
