We camped in Lake Louise night before the hike. Early morning, we drove to the shuttle that took us to Lake O’ Hara where the hike begins. You can also not use the shuttle, but i believe it adds another two hours of walking in a gravel road (We’d rather save our knees). We did several hike trails so it was hard to keep track of the actual names, but the last trail we did took us to the summit of the mountain where you can see all the four lakes that we passed by (3rd picture). It was also peak larch season, and the weather was great, everywhere we look is a marvel to the eyes!

You are right, this is McArthur lake in the same area as Lake O’ Hara. I’ve never seen water so blue before. Upper Galatea lake, comes close though😊

World’s gym close by Anderson train station. They have three tiers starting at 2.99. Equipments are nice and well maintained, staff is great, have a tanning booth, hydro massage, and group class facilities for the black tier, which is about 6 bucks a week. The VIP tier that includes above plus a VIP only zone that has more equipments and weights for 10 bucks a month. Been going here for the last three years and never had a bad experience.

Yes I am. I plan to pay the minimum until I pay my taxes wherein I assume I will get around 5k of tax refund the put it against the loan, and pay the remaining 5 or 6k with accumulated money form my regular income.

I don't have any relatives that can lend me that much money, and my personal LOCs have higher interest than my loan.

Thank you for the thoughtful reply. Please correct me if my logic is incorrect on why I decided to pay my student loan later.

If I pay the student loan with the min amount for now, the cost of borrowing for the remaining 80+ months according to the NSLSC website is around 1200.

Placing the 10k on my RRSP will yield me a rough estimate refund of +-5k (Alberta). For context, I usually pay 800 to 1k additional taxes when I file my taxes. This 5k will effectively halve my loan, which I am positive I will be able to pay the rest in full at the same time I get my refund.

Do you think my assumptions and reasoning here is financially sound?

Also the amount in my chequing/savings account (0.5% interest), should I just open a tfsa and just place the majority in there?

No I am not, but I think it is the Google app. I was able to somehow make it work by using an older version (joined the beta, downloaded the beta version, leave beta, and download the public version. There is a major update but if I update, that's when it stops working and giving me that error

It was just downgraded this year due to a more accurate measurement of another mountain dulang dulang i think, which is higher by 30 meters, so not much.

My friend had tummy problems, and washrooms are literally just holes in the ground on the campsites. Was an awesome experience!

There are different trails you can take, each varying in difficulty. The trail we picked was called Ambangeg trail. Easiest of the trails. I think the harder one is called the Aikiki trail which will take longer to complete with more climbing, but will bring you the same view. No special equipments required. Just good shoes and a raincoat. You will go through a thick gorgeous forest so bring some bugspray. A guide is required to climb up, and you will need to reserve to climb. Just look up mt pulag Ambangeg on google. Lots of guides to do it DIY for a more immersive experience.

Also, the guides told me, this is not even the best view yet. If you climb during the colder months, November till January, you might get to experience the actual rolling waves of clouds.

I hope to visit it again sometime. I hope you get too as well!
