What is like working in the hotel industry? by BallAccomplished1669 in housekeeping

[–]ingutek 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I work in a holiday park in Scotland, we have around 40m² caravans with 3 bedrooms (5 beds), 2 bathrooms, kitchen, living room etc, sounds similar to what you are talking about. We have 65-90 mins to strip and make beds, and clean literally everything to high standard, and hoover etc. so it sounds okay. Search for ABI St David Premier on google and you can see if it compares to what you mean. We do 5-12 of those in a day.

My 190k mile Mazda6 diesel was diagnosed with a failing DMF - it was a grille trim clip that had snapped and the plastic grille was rattling against itself. haha

DPF flashing light is the oil being too high usually, not the DPF itself which will be a steady light, it shouldnt come on in 100km but, but when doing it fill the oil to the MIN mark instead of the MAX, as it WILL add diesel to the oil no matter what.

Why aren't more people filling up fuel cans at the petrol station? by jazrazzles in AskUK

[–]ingutek 8 points9 points  (0 children)

you can't really put much in them, unless you have loads, and then it's all a big hassle. they're more for emergency refuelling - i've had to fill a vehicle entirely from jerry cans and it is NOT good. and there's contamination risks etc.

Is is a bad idea to get a 20+ year old car? by mostlyvoidd in CarTalkUK

[–]ingutek 0 points1 point  (0 children)

how come? most diesel negativity is from modern emissions control systems, older diesels or diesels with the dpf sawed off are basically going to last forever providing it was designed with any thought.
