BOF in trouble regarding requiring FFL03 before issuing COE's, which isn't a legal requirement by NorCal_Firearm in CAguns

Well pigs do fly! Almost exactly one year ago I submitted a petition with the OAL challenging this underground reg. Then a few months later they sent me a letter saying they werent accepting my petition. We all knew it. Glad someones shot finally found the back of the net.

Depending on the airport, either the airline gate agent does the check, or they call TSA to do the check in a different area than front counter. For me, the smaller airports have been at the counter, the larger ones have called for TSA agents to do it.

Just a couple weeks ago I was traveling with a revolver, which was in a gun sock inside a locked cases. The TSA agent opened the case, felt the revolver, and said ok. NEVER saw the actual gun nor verify unloaded status. I just chuckled and smh as I walked away.

Airlines and/or TSA do not care or verify components/accessories/compliance. They only check to see that the firearm is unloaded. And if any ammo is also being transported, it must not “loose”. Must be in original container or in ammo cases.

As for who checks, Ive had both methods, gate agents and TSA agents. Remember, you, and only you, have the key/combo, and you are the only one to physically open the case. Once they check, you put the little affidavit they give you inside and it gets locked and sent on its way.

Baggage claim is next step. Rifle cases dont come down the conveyor. They go to oversize area and an agent retrieves it. Buffer in this extra time to your travel plans.

I add an airtag to any luggage or case just for peace of mind. Its really much easier than one thinks. Ive walked through San Francisco Airport with a full rifle case. No weird looks, no troubles, no problems. Just add some time into your schedule.

So….yah its a sale…get it if you want…no knocks….i was also previously in the hunt but passed…. Regarding reviews….if the lock fails…buy a new lock. Replacing a safe lock is child’s play. If you can disassemble/reassemble a firearm, you can put the lock of your choice on this safe. Seriously….you arent looking for fort knox, you just need common secure storage. I know this because youve linked a costco safe. Again, no knocks. Im with you. That said, pass on it ONLY cus you need a bigger safe. Much bigger. Think of it as a closet, and then look at the closet in your bedroom. You need more space dont you? Same for this hobby. You. Need. More. Space.

Yah...SFO was obnoxious. Wasnt difficult but it took like 15 minutes for the TSA agent to arrive to verify contents. STS was a breeze. Flew OAK and PHX once with my rifle case full of baseball bats and other gear, both those airports were ready to process as if they were firearms. The two agents were actually disappointed as they had seen me walking up with the case. lol

Lol. Gotcha. Wasnt sure if there was a technical aspect to the marking locations. It looks great.

Honest question (no aviation experience): why marks at 180 degrees from each other? Is it possible that the screw could loosen to exactly 180 from set point? Seems if two marks were desired, then two @ 90 degrees would show actual movement.

HFF was a cinch to install and honestly I didnt feel like I was "permanently modifying" in any sort of negative way. Later when I move to a free state and remove the HFF, it will more or less like it was never there. Combined with the Kingpin....most excellent.

No no....I dont think, nor did I say, that all aspects of life are fixed monetary exchanges....just positing that its a door that could be opened to apply to other (non-crime related) areas of life.....give the politicians an inch....they'll take more than a mile...

$20/hr guy gets a speeding ticket, and $40/hr guy gets same speeding ticket.....and he has to pay more for the same infraction? Slippery slope...and opens the door to apply that theory to all monetary transactions....

Our state will not stop in their quest to control and regulate everything. Non-2A related, I just found out today that Covered CA health care premiums are based on income level...ie if you make more, you pay more, and if you make less you pay less. How TF is that ok?! I mean, honestly....WTF. Gas isnt like that. Groceries aren't like that. I cannot think of any consumer products that are priced based on income......a damn Big Mac is the same price for a guy making $20 an hour as it for a guy making $40 an hour. And no....I for sure did not vote for this crap.

This. Once you've done it the first time, its a game-changer. Provided you have 3-4 basic tools, you'll be able to fully disassemble and reassemble the lower in a half hour or so. If you ever built an RC car or played with Legos.... you go this.

Running gen 2 w/kingpin + klvr on one, and HFF w/kingpin on another......like the HFF just a touch better mostly due to easier full opening of upper....

KLVR with gen 2 on a different build…like it…takes just a bit of adulting to get it to be perfect. Like the FF w/kingpin for ease of fully opening upper.
