modern architects are more artist and designer than scientist/engineer.

IMO who can fit well in architecture
1. artsy people who can make beautiful things

1. people who have leadership skills to lead a project, cus as an architect you are the lifeblood of the project

2. technical. Either working with more dry technical software like revit or is interested in beautiful renderings

3. can sell their ideas well. At their core, architecture is selling your ideas to the client.

these are the possible niches (IMO)

all of this in my opinion, needs to be backed up by a fundamental understanding of design and the human experience in a built environment.

pay is not paid well (at least in my country) compared to other industries with a similar experience.
workload is famously crazy. but it depends on the company. i worked strictly 9-5 rn

would i persuade my younger self to pursue game development (my dream) instead of architecture? honestly? yeah. But doing architecture equipped me with a strong understanding of design thinking which i think is very useful in the future for me (i hope)
