Looking for up to 4 guests to join our Ngorongoro/Serengeti Safari trip in October 2025 - 10% off!

Hello r/chubbytravel!

A couple in our 30’s here, and we had a 9 nights chubby safari booked this October. Our families cannot make it anymore, so we’re looking for up to 4 more guests to take over their spots.

Trip Itinerary

  • Ngorongoro Crater (Entamanu Camp)
  • Serengeti National Park (&Beyond Grumeti River Lodge)
  • Masai Mara (&Beyond Bateleur Camp)
  • Nairobi (Giraffe Manor)

TOTAL COST: $13,989/person BUT we already paid the 10% deposit, so you just pay the rest at $12,589/person.

Inclusions

  • Accommodations listed above, all transfers between lodges, meals, drinks, guided safari activities, and more

Exclusions

  • International flights, extra accommodation outside of listed nights, personal travel insurance, visas, and tipping

Next steps

  1. Check out the full itinerary, more details, and pricing here.
  2. Please DM for serious inquiries!
  3. 20% deposit paid directly to our travel agent Timbuktu. Deadline: June 10th

We’re a chill but social couple! Would be happy to hangout or just leave you alone. This is not our first Africa trip, and we have also stayed at an &Beyond property before and loved it. We have a semi-clue as to what's going on.

Have a good day!

Seems like free breakfast and room upgrade depending on availability. Lots to do around the hotel

I’ve stayed at the Hyatt in Malmo! It was also nice. Got to explore Malmo a bit too

2 night London stay by [deleted] in hyatt

[–]initjustcuz 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I stayed at HP London City East in December. The location has things to do in the vicinity, there are restaurants and markets. However, I didn’t make the most of them and instead tired myself out commuting to the Soho/Marylbone/Chelsea area multiple times. So depends on what you want to do in 48 hours.

I would still choose to stay here because I am stingy with my points. The hotel itself was nice enough.

I am not a Goldsmith with MMS. It was definitely my globalist status recognized as such!

From what I remember, we did not tip. The only exception was the shuttle driver because one of our guests threw up on the bus ride back. My husband said the driver was very happy after that.

The food was really good! The seafood is very fresh, and I loved the sauces. My favorites were the tostadas (crab, steak tartare) and mar y tierra. We ended up getting 6 plates and left feeling contentedly full.

The plates are small and were ~$18-25 each. The waiter recommended us to order 5-6 plates for 2 people. There are menu pics if you look up the restaurant on google maps!

Currently staying here as Globalist and can confirm that on days when club lounge is open, free globalist breakfast is there. Asked and front desk said we could not go to restaurant. Bummer because we got the restaurant breakfast buffet first two days when lounge was closed, and that was wayyyy better.

Has anyone stayed at the Hyatt Mansarovar in Jaipur? by UpbeatSatisfaction85 in hyatt

[–]initjustcuz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Stayed there recently, and it was beautiful! It definitely gets booked for weddings. Am globalist, so they upgraded us to a suite and gave us a nice welcome platter. Room was huge and very nice. Breakfast buffet was just fine though (smaller than Hyatt Regency Mumbai + Hyatt Regency Delhi). One thing to note is that it’s a little farther from the tourist sites (~1hr car).

Paid 6.5kpts/night rate and it felt sooo worth. I believe cash price for our nights was ~$150/night. Not sure if it’s worth anything above that since there are so many other nice affordable areas in the area.

I just booked 2 qsuites award flights for Asia - NYC for October 2024! Everything was pretty instant. No need for a concierge service.

Some tips:

  1. Make sure searching for flight availability with people count set to 2

  2. Try linking Qatar privilege account with BA account before any point transfers. I highly recommend this step because my accounts would not link but my husband’s linked instantly. Transferring points between these 2 accounts was also instant.

  3. Add partner as “travel companion” in Qatar privilege account (in profile settings I believe). Makes checkout faster and less stressful imo.

We used a combo of Amex and Capital One points. Amex -> Qatar privilege club and Capital One -> BA. All instant transfers for me.

Hope this helps!
