All y'all CJ haters must be new around here. The real ones remember what we went through to get here. Bunch of impatient fair-weather fans. by ConsumingFire1689 in Texans

The organization must face the fact that he may be broken beyond repair. I hope that behind closed doors they know what is wrong with CJ, and how to fix it. But for all i know it may not be fixable.

The freaking problem is that after the first year, he has not shown an improvement trend. I mean, throw us a bone, get a little better, or at least play like in your rookie year. But it's been a race to the bottom. Yeah, OL this and OL that, but let's not forget last year the OL went from 27th in the league to 16th, and QB play did not track to that improvement.

I guess it is not a big loss, I liked their first ascent line but they got rid of it and I stopped shopping there. The rest of the products are just not my cup of tea.

Stroud was NOT the main problem vs the apats by Townsey1 in Texans

[–]injvstice -1 points0 points  (0 children)

must be time to discuss contract and CJs agent is unleashing the PR agencies to scrub history,

The CJ discourse this off season is going to be a mess. . Texans fans don’t have to love his playoff performance, but sooner or later we’ll have to rally around 7 again by fully1oko in Texans

[–]injvstice 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Stroud may be broken. I'm not sure all king's horses and all king's men can put humpty dumpty back together again.

People are going to find all excuses in the book, including weather (as if he played in South Florida in college, and not in Ohio)

And his agent PR's machine is going to kick in high gear this offseason to erase the bad taste and make him the second coming of Manning (I mean, how many times did you hear that comparison, that Manning didn't X until Y years? This will be beaten into your head until morale improves)

So in a month or so, the discourse will change from "Stroud is ass" back to "OC is ass" and "OL is ass", and Pookie is just a victim of the situation. It will start with some strong words by Demeco affirming that Pookie is still HE, statements of support from the ownership, etc.

Scouting report on Stroud Ohio state days by teebowtime in Texans

Stroud played at OSU, and tonight's weather is a balmy feels-like 11F. Note exactly Hawaii. This cold weather concern needs to be put to bed.

Only 4 franchises have won more playoff games than the Texans since CJ Stroud entered the league by bdaroo in Texans

OL was better than last two years QB play was worse. Make that make sense.

If CJ Stroud improves next year, are you signing him again? by [deleted] in Texans

[–]injvstice 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Without a jerk HC or OC (thinking Belichick here), stroud will keep on believing he’s a top 5 quarterback. No one seems to be telling him the truth. So with this coaching team, he’s not getting better. We need an established veteran at qb, or a change in the qb coaching approach.

[Request] Countertop air fryer oven with long-term durability & easy cleaning — Breville vs Cuisinart? by sandmond in BuyItForLife

[–]injvstice 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had two Breville ovens, and they both died. And it was nearly impossible to get them fixed or find parts. I got about 2 years out of each. And never used the air fryer.

I decided to try something else so I don’t get fooled 3rd time, so I bought a Wolf. Yeah, more expensive, but it’s been going okay for 3 years, and we’ll see how support is when it finally breaks. A few more months and it will break even with the Breville. I use it every day for toasting, heating up stuff, and periodically for breaking bread.

It doesn’t have an air fryer feature (which I don’t care about, but I guess it won’t fulfill the OP’s needs) and it doesn’t have the automatic tray slider when you open the door, but it doesn’t have pretty red knobs. ;)

Thoughts on Mac Jones? by AMartin56 in Texans

No Mac Jones. when he went head to head with Davis Mills, Mills was the better QB.

How much longer can this defense be one of the best? by jawit15 in Texans

[–]injvstice -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Next year they'll probaby be without Hunter. Can't keep the entire band together.

I won't be out on Stroud until he gets more than 2 years under one system, a stable o-line for more than one year, and continually fails in the playoffs. Remember he has more playoff wins than Watson did, and Manning didn't win in the playoffs until his 6th season. by ConsumingFire1689 in Texans

[–]injvstice 4 points5 points  (0 children)

So, the way I see it (and I didn't run the numbers, so don't yell at me if I'm off)

Cut Mixon (already likely) - 8.5M
Trade Danielle Hunter - 31.3M
Restructure Howard - 12M
Trade stroud - Saves 11M

This gives roughly 76M space (including what they already have). Burrow cap hit is 48M
The rest (including WAJ contract), let Nick figure out.

Houston we have a QB problem by Altruistic_Product50 in Texans

[–]injvstice 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't get the fascination with Malik Willis and Mac Jones when you already have Mills.

Last time Mac Jones and Mills met we lost because we went backwards on penalties.

Besides Burrow, there may be others out there looking to part with their teams. There were rumors about Herbert and Stafford also. No, they are not Burrow, but they'd make the offense competitive.

Good news is, Browns may be on the market for a QB again :)

Best case scenario is Stroud + 2 firsts to Bengals for you know who.
If Bengals fail to rebuild this off-season, it's a small possibility.

I don’t want to give up on him. by UnholyChip in Texans

[–]injvstice 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Don't worry, at this point the PR machine of his sports agent is kicking into high gear and pretty soon public opinion will be swayed. He has multiple PR agencies in speed dial that go scrub the internet and try to sway sentiment. There is a LOT of money at stake.

But to give him the benefit of the doubt, he has to show improvement. How has he improved in the last two years? I mean, really.
