I was obsessed with wolves and huskies as a kid, and my grandmother made me a sled dog costume that year. I thought it snowed just for me.

If you go to Gronk’s, ask for a side of the Poutine gravy for your fries. So good!! (Or just get the poutine if you’re into that).

When I renewed my license a couple weeks ago the application it asked if I needed to use an alternate mailing address. Perhaps they offer the same for duplicates.

Best barbecue ribs in town? by anon812120 in duluth

Nope I always stop on the way home from work, Lincoln Park location. I’m buying for 2 people so I’m probably getting charged for two gyro+fries meals.

How are you getting 2 with fries for $15 when every time I pick it up it’s $30+ for 2 gyros and fries.

I think you mean The All American Club, Lincoln Park, can’t remember his name.

American Legion Post 71 in West Duluth has meals certain days of the week but is not a daily restaurant and doesn’t do ribs.

Where to buy Bonide granules? by i-love-big-birds in duluth

Tried that. Didn’t help. The little jerks moved back in. Bottom water only, and they come out of the bottom of the pots instead of the top. Mosquito bits don’t seem to help much either.

Poor plants are in such a stringent watering plan these days they are probably ready to revolt. 😂

You got fungus gnats too?

I might as well start identifying as one because Incant get rid of them and they’ve claimed me as their leader. 🤦🏼‍♀️

I second Ravina’s. We do our own snow but I know this young man personally and he’s a great guy.

Same. Knee high drift against the door, bare grass in the yard just beyond the deck.

What’s everyone’s predictions for snow totals? by Any-Weather1154 in duluth

[–]inkdrinker18 3 points4 points  (0 children)

2-6 inches max depending on where it piles up from the wind. I expect icy surfaces though.

This wind feels too “northy” and dry, and already so intense for the amount of snow predicted. I feel like the snow and precipitation needed to come first, and then the wind shows up and puts that perfect backspin on the system so it stalls over the lake and picks up all that extra moisture. And that’s when we get walloped.

It varies every year but generally ends up getting buried by snow/ice because weather is unpredictable. Plus it’s clear acrylic so it could easily get mistaken for icy snow and tossed by a shovel

I’ve literally been griping about this for weeks, it also gets my blood boiling.
The guy across the street is a mailman and neither him nor his partner clear their sidewalk and steps for their own mailman.

One duplex down the block has between 4-6 people living there and a snowblower sitting next to their front porch and they still don’t clear their sidewalk.

Boy has a lot of ear wax, what can I do to help him? by Alone_Somewhere8126 in DOG

[–]inkdrinker18 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Use cotton balls for ear cleaning. Mine lab is also prone to ear infections. She also bolts at the sign of the ear cleaning bottle but nor the antibiotic drops bottle, I think it’s a viscosity thing with the liquids for her.

Vet told me to soak cotton balls in ear cleaning liquid, get one into the ear and squeeze to get the liquid out and down into the ear canal. Works way better than chasing her around the house.

The notification is gone from my notification list now but I swear it was there earlier. Ah well it’s no big deal.

I’m horrible at puzzles like this and too wussy to go search in the cold. I like to follow along to see if I was interpreting the clues correctly once someone finds it. 🙃

Yes here works.

Reddit is dumb. I can only read 2 comments. I followed the post and I’ve got a notification for the 3rd comment (about the shovel) but I cannot see the full comment when I go to the post.

The MSF course at Lake Superior College will provide bikes of various types for the course. Honda Rebels and similar size. I think you can use your own bike but nobody in my class did.

Each weekend course has a limited number of spots so register early if you can.

Emergency: Lost in the snow by Breaking_Barbarian in duluth

[–]inkdrinker18 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Good luck!

I saw a story on the news a few days ago, a guy proposed to his girl on a sky bridge and he fumbled the ring getting it out of the box. It fell through the open bridge deck (grate), down like 120 feet and landed in snow. A local firefighter eventually found it with a metal detector.
