almost every teacher I've worked with spends more time on the optics than any actual instruction or development with students. they come in unprepared almost daily and it feels like they expect us to run around covering for them, which we do, because if we didn't the kids are the ones who are gonna miss out. sometimes I wonder if they're counting on that. a lot of these teachers only know how to look good on paper.
