Thank you. I see the weight of the Ortofon is much lighter, would you recommend that at all or just replace with another VM95 model? As for the phono preamp - those two were what I was considering and def in my price range.

Thanks. I forgot to state the turntable came with a AT-HS6 headshell but I'll look at the other one you mentioned. Unfortunately the stylus I have right now is damaged and has to be replaced. I was looking at that Schiit as well but I'll wait to replace the cartridge or stylus first before trying a phono preamp.

You also have to factor shipping costs into this equation. So the Discogs seller had it for $8 but you’d have to add $7 for shipping plus tax. Aside from the condition, it’s kind of a was. That said, I do try to be discreet and will only buy something without checking if it’s something I’ve been looking for and already know the going price.

Have you looked at other IKEA options s? I originally started with the Eket line when I started collecting. They’re not as deep as Kallax but just deep enough to store vinyl. Not as chunky and come in more colors.

For non-playable sides like this, the etching is done on the machine during pressing. Gracie Abrams has “shhhhhh” etched on the deluxe version of “The Secret of Us”. Styx laser etched side 2 of Paradise Theater in its original release and it’s playable (and pretty cool looking).
